“Average hotel, great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

This hotel is pretty standard, slightly outdated, and not as nice as some other Residence Inns I have stayed in. However, the location is just a quick, easy drive across the bridge from the historic areas and the evening shuttle is wonderful! The shuttle runs from around 5:30 to 11:45 and drops you right in the heart of all the shops and restaurants. You can go to dinner, have a drink (or a few), and not worry about parking or driving.
The morning breakfast buffet has plenty of options, but the quality was less than average.
Overall, the hotel is clean and convenient to the area attractions. I would stay again.

“Not bad at all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012 via mobile

Nice and clean, good location across the river. The free shuttle to the historic area was a plus. Wish it was offered throughout the day/evening, not just from 6pm till 11pm. Our suite was roomy but the queen bed was too soft for us. Breakfast was typical RI fare. Evening reception seemed popular with many guests but we did not care much for chili so took the shuttle to town for dinner. Overall, a very good stay. Would recommend.

I hope all is well in Oregon! We really appreciate you staying with us and taking the time to share your experience with other travelers! We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the shuttle service to the historic district. Unfortunately, the shuttle is not available during the day as we shuttle patients and their families to and from MUSC. Thanks for your understanding with this matter. We truly hope to see you next time you are in the Charleston area!

“We picked the right place to stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

When you are bringing a pet, it automatically narrows your choices, but we truly enjoyed the accommodations the Residence Inn offered and probably would stay here even if we didn't have our dog with us! We arrived around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 2, and they let us check in early....super helpful! Spacious room on the first floor (one-bedroom suite), which made taking our puppy in and out convenient. Because there is a living room and a bedroom, having two TVs available was honestly great...no fighting over what we're going to watch! :) Had two breakfasts at the hotel, which I would say were more than above average...lots of options! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful to both us and our puppy, and we enjoyed the location and value for our money. Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

“"Great Digs"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Once again, the Residence Inn by Marriott provided great accommodations. The room was spacious, clean, and loaded with extras. Although this bed was less firm than the ones in Savannah. They had great nightly dinnertime activities, hot dog and hamburger night, Trivia night, wine tasting night with appetizers. You do have to cross the river to get to downtown, which only takes 5 min. But for some people who prefer to be in the center of everything, this may be inconvienent.
