“Cheap parking, pretty scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

It's about a mile walk back into downtown but it's a beautiful walk and the parking is free. Beautiful view of the harbor with great photo opportunities with fountains, trees, cannons, and a gazebo. Nice evening walk for couples.

“Lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Quite beautiful, historic, and fun to walk around. Ask in one of the hotels/B&Bs for some history as well. And great views. Nice place to run also!

“Reliving history.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Loved being able to show my kids history from my home state. Loved the beautiful homes near the park and the incredible view from the shoreline. Great way to end the day.

“Good place to relax and recover after walking city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

We walked to the park on a hot day. After a long walk, it was so nice to sit, enjoy the view and the pleasant breeze. Nice mix of people enjoying park - young couples, people with children, senior citizens. Cannons are interesting as there are plaques describing them. On north side, lovely row of beautiful old mansions face park.

“We Enjoyed at the Cannons”

Great civil war history in this beautiful park right on the water. It is surrounded by beautiful, antebellum homes as well.
