“so great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

We called up in the morning and found ourselves kayaking with dolphins by early afternoon. I've rented equipment like this all around the country, and this place has amazing rates and really knowledgable staff. My husband is an ornithologist and commented that one of the guides really knew his birds. Definitely check out COA!

Isn't wonderful how beautiful it is to kayak in Charleston, even during the winter? We are so happy you were able to come on tour with us and would love to have you see all the different birds during the summer and fall as well! Thank you!

“COA is a Must Do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

This two-hour tour was incredible. It was a great way to get up close to the charleston wildlife. I appreciated this trip with COA as it was completely away from the hustle and bustle of other busy waterways surrounded by boats and crowded restaurants. The very friendly guide was knowledgeable and personable. Plus getting out of the water and walking right up the rustic Bowen's island restaurant was fantastic.

“Fun family experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

We really enjoyed our kayaking trip! Our guide was very knowledgable and learned much about the marsh and the ecosystem. We saw even saw dolphins as we kayaked around! Definitely a fun trip for our family-parents and teenage boys!

SKS1990,

We are so glad you were able to paddle with dolphins! One of the most amazing things about our part of the estuary is how peaceful it is, and how that allows you to be so much closer to nature. Thank you for bringing the whole family along!!

“Best Activity in Charleston!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

My husband and I decided to take a boat tour to access the private beach for shelling. Joe was our boat guide, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the area. We learned a lot about the ecosystem and different animals. During the tour, we saw at least 3 dolphins repeatedly and found 3 sand dollars and a bunch of large shells. The location was beautiful, and I loved going in the morning because it was so peaceful. The tour was completely worth the price, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston. I am also interested in returning for a stand-up paddle board tour.

Stephanie F,

Thank you thank you for your review! We are so glad you were able to see so much wild life and collect so many shells. Thank you also for the beautiful pictures!
We can't wait for you to come back for a SUP tour. Call us and ask about the wind predictions, because it is best to be out paddle boarding on the calmest days!

“What a great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

We made our reservation with COA expecting a guide to take us on a tour of the local marsh. We didn't expect to also learn so much about the ecosystem and the animals within. We took the three hour afternoon kayak tour and really it was....amazing. Our guide (Trip) was very knowledgeable about the animals, plants, the various ecosystems and how they interact. The scenery was also breathtaking - we saw two Wood Storks, which is apparently a very rare event.
We highly recommend kayaking with this outfitter and plan to do it again ourselves.
