What a wonderful way to see Charleston Port and Harbour..we were impressed with captain Howie ..his knowledge and passion. We were visiting from Australia and were so lucky to have a private cruise..lovely evening with a magical sunset and many pods of dolphins. Highly recommend this cruise!

“Great trip to Morris Island for sharks teeth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

We had a group of 14 people which included 5 children under 9 years of age. The captain and his female first mate were first rate. Morris Island is well known for its abundant supply of shark's teeth which were easily found with the assistance of the first mate. On the trip out to the island, the captain explained many interesting facts about Charleston, it's harbor, and the civil war forts. If you have young children interested in sharks teeth, this trip is great. This is an uninhibited island with no facilities so plan accordingly.

“411 reviewers can't be wrong”

I'll try not to be long winded, and just give you what you need to know. The first thing you should know is the crew, especially Captain Howie, desperately want you to you have the best time possible. No one made one complaint during our trip, but at the end, the captain felt like it was a little too windy, and offered us all a free trip the next day. So, he promises a good time, and he delivers.
And he's super nice! If you're like me, you're a little intimidated trying to get around in unfamiliar places, but you don't have anything to worry about with these guys. We had a heck of a time finding the dock, but even after multiple calls from about 100 yards away, (it's harder to find than you think.) Captain Howie wasn't worried, and eventually got us there.
We left the dock, got a little chat about the area and what we would be doing on Morris Island, and then we were there.
We had a long walk up one side of the island, found teeth and shells of course, but more importantly, we got answers to all our questions about every weird creature we found.
When our time was up, we headed back to the boat, watched tons of dolphins swimming around, got some lessons on dolphins, and headed back home.
On the way, we got to hear some great history, and learned some stuff about boating.
I probably missed some of the history lesson, though, because Captain Howie LET ME DRIVE THE BOAT THE WHOLE FREAKIN' WAY BACK TO DOCK!

“Best time spent in Charleston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Capt Howie is awesome and a great boat captain. Where else can you get to ride on a boat, get history about Charleston and the bay entry forts, see dolphins, and walk on a barrier island to hunt for shells and prehistoric sharks teeth?

My family had a great time and found a lot of sharks teeth, including 2 extinct Megaladon teeth (the prize of the trip) and some awesome shells. Morris island is unique because of the way the tide and currents encapsulate the shore to deposit large amounts of shark teeth up and down the shore!

Want to pay $18 a person to see Fort Sumter? This tour passes right near for excellent picture opportunities. This tour is well worth the price, but make sure you book in advance because the slots fill up quickly. Recommendation: book the 12:00 slot which is the first one of the day...less crowds on the island. Also, if you can match the tours with the low or lunar tide, you will find more treasures on the island.

Definite recommend.

“Awesome Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013 via mobile

One of the best tours in Charleston Harbor, The captain does a tremendously good job of narrating the areas that you go through ,the battery around the sub and Battleship ,around the new bridge and numerous other areas there gives great detail and gives a chance for the riders to ask questions, Great for all ages, Ticket prices are a Fantastic value . Can Easily sell out in the summer months.
