First time for us to visit this campground and there's plenty to do at the campground. An easy drive to Folly beach.

Most of the folks using this campground when we camped there (July 2012) had super sized RVs and were not very friendly when you passed them while walking around.

Bathhouses were kept clean and there was plenty of hot water.

We stayed a full week and found the campground clean and well taken care of. Most of the campers were in super large RVs and most folks stayed inside their campers when they werent out venturing. So we missed the congenial nature we find in campgrounds that have a more diverse clientele - tents, trailers, etc. there wer almost no campfires in the evening.

This campground is so central... Just a short drive from downtown Charleston, Folly Beach, Kiawah Beach, Johns Island. We loved the location. We also weathered a big downpour. Our site was fine but this region is swampy and some sites flooded. Staff was quick to respond and worked hard to help campers struggling with the effects of the weather.

We had a great stay and would return.

This was by the far the best campground we have ever camped. We have a travel trailer and the sites are spacious and shaded. The campground is very clean with plenty for a family to do. We loved riding our bikes on the many bike trails, fished at the crabbing dock, played on the playground and splash pad. All this is included in your stay. We also loved the water park. The prices are very reasonable and if purchased at camp store , you will receive a discounted price.
We usually spend a day at Folly Beach or Isle of Palms. This will be our 4th summer trip here and we plan on spending more summers here.

We have stayed here a few times now with a 30' airstream trailer. The sites are spacious, bathrooms are very clean and the location is just perfect. There is so much to do at the park and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.
