Alan was a wonderful guide. He has obviously become skilled at "reading the audience". He seems to tailor his tour to the style of the group. He was very in tune with the group and was great at allowing us to get into the atmosphere at the pubs before moving on. The history told on the tour was good too, complete with visual aids (photos of who he was talking about, etc.) You don't want to miss this.

I was a little concerned when the tour guide skateboarded into the office, but he turned out to be a polite and knowledgable tour guide. He took us to a variety of pubs and bars on a walking tour of Charleston, and was a wealth of knowledge on the city. The only negative for me was the "information overload" on the history part.

Mike was our guide very personable, fun, and full of fun info.

I would recommend this tour to anyone and if you can, book a private tour. I was glad we went to a variety of different types of pubs and bars. Alan was a great guide and really knew how to present stories that our group was interested in.
