We came on our honeymoon and loved it. Room was great the food was amazing and the staff was more than helpful. We loved that we were able to jump on the free bus route and get anywhere in town very easily. Can't wait to come back.

The helpful staff and the comfortable historic Inn made our stay in Charleston a wonderful time. The breakfast each morning was perfect. The Ashley Inn has a very interesting past, you should ask Barry.

Room Tip: The only real consideration is whether you climb one flight of stairs or two, but the Innkeeper will...

We really enjoyed our 3 day stay Ashley Inn. Our room was wonderful, clean and comfortable. The staff and owner, Barry, were all very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Each day the breakfast was amazing and unique, adding to that Charleston culinary experience! We enjoyed the porch setting for our breakfast, much quieter on the weekend than during the weekday once the work week started. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and they had all the menus from the local restaurants. This was everything I was hoping for and more!

One of my favorite places to stay in Charleston. It is a little noisy being right next to a major medical center, but the rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. The innkeeper, Barry, is a wealth of knowledge about the area. Breakfast of banana rum pralines French toast on the veranda was excellent. The staff is very friendly too.

I had to attend a conference and since I'm from SC, I decided to take my wife and forego the normal hotel chain. The house just felt like home and the breakfast was wonderful. I really liked everything about the inn and would highly recommend it. The owner was a wealth of knowledge and we appreciated him taking the time to share his knowledge with us during breakfast..I would have been happy to pay extra for it! It was a super experience and all the staff was very pleasant and helpful during our stay...you just can't beat the value of the home cooked meals, free bikes to use and wonderful decor...don't miss out on this experience

Room Tip: The 2nd and 3rd floor rooms are good...We prefer the 3rd floor but the stairs are steep...no road no...

Lovely three nights in Charleston. This B&B was very clean and comfortable with period furniture and original features. The staff were low key but friendly and helpful. The innkeeper was a mine of knowledge and was around at breakfast time to say hello and chat. Loved the upstairs balcony that was a great space for pre-evening drinks & nibbles (courtesy of the B&B). The only issue with our room was the AC was a little noisy at night.

Room Tip: Our friends had the larger of the two rooms which they agreed was excellent accomodation with less A...

My husband and I had a wonderful four night stay at the Ashley Inn in Charleston, SC. We love to walk so we walked just about everywhere that we went. The breakfasts were so good and we also enjoyed the wine and snack in the afternoon. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. Thank you for a wonderful retreat.
