I've stayed at the 1837 House at least 25 times by now. Rick and Lynne own the house, but Jane must be in the will she has worked there so long. They are extremely hospitable, the house and rooms are great (I have stayed in all of them but one) and I have had a wonderful time using it as my base when I have to be in town for work. I love the proximity to the world class restaurants, downtown events and City buildings. I enjoy their wide porch and comfortable chairs. I have a little extra meat on me and I think it is partially due to the pineapple french toast, sausage balls, sour creme cakes, cookies and other treats they have for their guests at each visit. The beds are comfortable, the heat, air and water is all good and it is a very nice part of town. I could stay other places and sometimes have to when they get all booked up, but I will tell you that they are always my first try when I know I am coming to town.
You will not be disappointed.
