The menu has some great gourmet omelettes, local cuisine and the dish recommended by the NY Times: Stuffed French Toast. Ours came with peaches and a peach cider syrup. It was very reminiscent of a lucious bread pudding. Super nice staff kept the coffee and water refills coming. We enjoyed it immensely.
Having seen people waiting outside for several days, we were delighted to arrive at just the right moment to be seated. Service was prompt and friendly. The french toast was incredibly light and delicious.
We enjoyed a very nice lunch at Diana's.....delicious soup and very fresh salad for me and a unique BLT (with fried green tomatoes) for my husband. Our server was very friendly and helpful and gave us some interesting info and several good tips about Charleston. The hostess and another server we encountered were also very pleasant and the restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. Based on our experience we would eat there again.
Had eaten at Diane's several times before and was always pleased with the food. THe latest experience on Sept, 21st was the worst I have experienced in a restaurant. Four of us ordered dinners or sandwiches and dessert. The service was slow and incomplete, the food - all of it - was poor to bad. Don't know if the chef was off that day, or if they are on off peak staff but I will not be returning
