“Very nice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2005

My husband and I stayed at the Harbourview Inn for our anniversary. We stayed in a suite overlooking the water. It was a great suite. The jacuzzi, fireplace, and balcony were wonderful. The service was good. Best of all, it is a great location. We watched the sun rise and it was very relaxing!

Spent last Christmas at the Harbour View Inn. The room was extremely comfortable and cozy. The staff was top notch. The location -- at the entrance to water front park, a short walk from the city's best dining and near everything else that matters -- simply could not be better.

Visiting for Spoleto, and there's no doubt where we'll be staying.

I have just returned from a week in Charleston, SC. We stayed at a very fine
hotel located within walking distance of all the downtown attractions, restaurants, etc. This hotel is next to the Waterfront Park and is two blocks
from Broad St., and two blocks from South and North Market Sts. It is a 10 minute walk to the tip of the Battery.
The staff is very professional and friendly, and will do anything to make your stay
a successful one. We had a room with a harbor view, and it was spacious,
well appointed and very clean. Daily breakfast was also part of the deal;
you could have this in your room, in the lounge or on the roof top terrace.
Parking is by valet at an additional cost of $13 per day, but there is almost no
parking available in downtown Charleston, so this expense was worth it.
If you are so inclined, they prepare a complimentary wine and cheese
hour in the late afternoon, and cookies and milk from the 9-10 PM hour.
If I return to Charleston in the future (and I will), I won't even look at other
hotels. This is the place. Charleston is a city that all Americans should visit
once in their lifetime. It is friendly, safe, full of history, full of beautiful
houses, and has great restaurants. Beaches are 15-20 minutes away.
Try to visit the Citadel on a Friday afternoon when the Corps of Cadets
pass in review. Very impressive. This city is worthy of a re-visit.

Just returned... Wonderful place.. I do consider myself a hotel snob, just very picky and like really nice hotels. This place was so quaint and the BEST location. The people who work there will bend over backwards for you if you ask. They have a great breakfast each AM that is sent right to your room. We had a Harbor View Room and had a great view. Would stay there again. It was a great time..

I Loved This Place..... I Immediately felt Secure and Comfortable with the STAFF and location. I felt I was in a Trusted Environment.

We arrived early, so our room wasn't yet prepared, and yet I surrendered all my belongings (luggage) to include a laptop computer, digital camera, etc. for safekeeping while we went shopping and our room was being prepared - when we returned Everything was in the room waiting.

You can just FEEL the Good Energy upon entering this establishment -- This place feels WONDERFUL -- You immediately feel as if you're SPECIAL and could ask for ANYTHING and it would be provided immediately and With Sincere Pleasure to have us there.

Thank You So Much for a Wonderful Weekend!! THE BREAKFAST, WINE & CHEESE, AND COOKIES & MILK WERE THE TICKET!!!

Stayed here February 2005. Was pleased with location, views, staff, and amenities. Above average property. The free breakfasts in our room and the wine and cheese each afternoon were a nice touch and added to the value. Many great restaurants and sightseeing within walking distance.

This hotel was wonderful with great service. We had a standard inn room so no view but the room was gorgeous. The room was large with high ceilings and four poster queen size beds. Service was really nice, with a beautiful continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning at your specified time. There were 3 different breakfasts to choose from and the one we usually chose consisted of 2 large, fresh pastries each with butter and jelly and a small dish of fruit. You could also get coffee, tea (4 different varieties to choose from), hot chocolate, and a variety of juices and a 1/2 grapefruit. We checked the 8-8:30 time each day and they always called promptly at 8 to say they were on their way. The wine and cheese reception each evening featured about 5 cheese varieties along with grapes and strawberries and the milk and cookies later in the evening were delicious. Everyone there was extrememly friendly and accomodating and the location was great for sightseeing.
