There is nothing to complain about with the Harbour View Inn, yet it lacked any character. In this city that is defined by it's history and charm I expected a hotel with some of the same. With so many places to choose from, I would prefer something that reflected more of the city. It has the feel of a chain hotel. Structurally, the design made the hotel feel impersonal. Guests enter to see a porter and have to get to the next level to the rather small unremarkable lobby. On the plus side: the price was lower than most comparably rated hotels and it was spanking clean with continental breakfast and wine and (grocery store) cheese and crackers in the evening.
