“Charming Charleston gem with amazing staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

We recently spent 4 nights here and very much enjoyed our stay.

The location is perfect for walking around Charleston and our room was spacious and comfortable. The AC worked well, which was crucial during the hot weather, and importantly, it was fairly quiet as well.

The staff, particular Ed and Sandy, were extremely friendly and helpful in so many ways. They also make delicious home-baked soft cookies every afternoon for the guests enjoyment.

The only thing we found wanting was the breakfast. The coffee was watered-down, and the choices were not as healthy as we would have liked. Also, the offerings did not vary during our stay. We would have preferred scrambled eggs and bacon, as a choice.

Located on the corner of Pinckney Street hence, the name, this yellow building almost looks like it belongs in CA. However, this southern charm of history provides everything that is Charleston with a bit of modernization added to it.
The staff is there to please from providing you all the information you may need on while on your visit. The valet service will park your car in the small stone lot located behind the building and of course will bring your bags to your room.
Like I said, the rooms are modern and we had the pleasure of staying in the suite which provided us with that old southern charm of heavy wooden doors that opened inward providing us a nice breeze at night with an overview of the street. The walls inside are indeed brick but that only add's to that old charm. Everything in today's world that you need is included but in Charleston you will hopefully only be spending time in your room sleeping and hopefully showering.
The prices are average to that of a chain hotel but the charm is so much more inviting.
My wife and could not have been happier in our stay and look forward to staying there again in the future.
If you get lost in downtown Charleston just ask for the charming yellow building, trust me, the locals will know what your talking about.

We stayed this past summer for 5 nights. We had only booked for 3 nights, however the room was so nice, the location very convenient, and included a delicious breakfast, so we stayed two days longer. The staff were warm and helpful and displayed true southern hospitality. They helped us book a restaurant and gave great advice for our anniversary meal just a few blocks away. It was our 19th wedding anniversary and they helped make it a wonderful and memorable experience. We recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

This facility's personnel are knowledgeable with the history of downtown Charleston, SC. The staff is helpful and assists guests where they can go for food, historical tours, etc. Their extended breakfast is fresh & tasty.

Room Tip: Be specific as to whether you'd want a big room.

We went to Charleston for our 20th anniversary and stayed at the Andrew Pinckney for 3 nights. The location could not have been better. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to do on this trip. We loved the rooftop terrace where breakfast was served each morning. The staff was great. Very helpful. The room was very small but immaculate! We would go back but would request a larger one with an outside view. Great place!!

The Andrew Pinckney Inn is in the heart of Charleston SC. The location was perfect, lots of attractions within easy walking distance.
The accommodations are very nice and the staff is exceptionally courteous and most helpful.

The lemonade and freshly baked cookies in the lobby were fabulous.

We highly recommend the Andrew Pinckney.

Only stayed at the Andrew Pinckney from Monday evening until Wednesday evening - but a really good hotel for our first Charleston visit - very friendly staff, good room, breakfast on the roof, a great location (very close to the market) - could not have been better - thanks to all - you are doing a great job!
