“New city, new hotel, great time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

We had never been to Charlestown before and would return in a second. It is a laid back, southern city filled with history and people who understand gentile service. The staff at the Andrew Pickney could not have been more helpful. We stayed the first two nites of our trip with the idea of finding someplace different when we returned for the last nite. Jeff and the rest of the staff were so gracious that we just rebooked with them. The inn is located within walking distance of everything. When we return we doubt we would even rent a car. Our many thanks for making our stay very special.

We found the Andrew Pinckney Inn through Georgia Traveler TV program...went on line and sure am glad we did! The Front Desk guys were great young men and knew their "stuff". Staff was so friendly. The only thing I could say was to have a regular light bulb in the one (of 2) light by the bed so we could read all the great things to do in Charleston! Pitch the curly-que bulbs! The rooftop terrace for breakfast and just to enjoy the evening is great! Breakfast was different from the usual thank goodness! Keep on doing what you are doing!

Room Tip: Just go and enjoy!

Thank you so much for taking the time to post the wonderful comments of your recent stay at the Andrew Pinckney Inn. It is most rewarding to know that you found our staff to be most accommodating and knowledgeable. As you mentioned the Rooftop Terrace is not only a great spot for our breakfast but also for a few relaxing moments at the end of your day after taking in all the wonderful sights and activities of the historic district.

The staff, facilities, and location were perfect! From day 1 to day 4 my friend and I were spoiled with charm, from the front desk managers to the valet to the housekeeping staff. The Andrew Pinckney is nothing short of top notch. Thank you for a great first visit to Charleston, it surely won't be the last!

Room Tip: A friend and I shared a queen sized room, and it was plenty big. The a/c worked quite well on these...

My wife and I recently spent a "getaway" weekend in Charleston. We wanted to stay in a smaller property that was convenient to the downtown historic section of the city. Based on trip advisor reviews, we selected the Andrew Pinckney. It was a great decision!
As with many smaller properties in Charleston, the Pinckney capitalizes on its historic heritage. Rooms are very well appointed and exceptionally clean. Breakfast on the roof terrace affords a wonderful view of the city and is a great way to get into the mood of being in Charleston. The greatest attribute of the Pinckney, however, is its staff. From the front desk to the housekeepers, this is a world class operation when it comes to service. Special thanks to Edward and Sandy who
seemed to anticipate our every need and made sure that our stay was memorable. This was our first stay at the Pinckney. Hopefully it will not be the last.

Room Tip: The large room over the lobby has a great view.

My husband & I stayed at the Andrew Pickney for three nights. From our initial booking to our checkout, our stay was nothing but fantastic.
We were greeted by Andrew at the front desk (actually a nicely appointed entire room that features light refreshments & the all-important water on those hot southern days!) and John (I think?!) who assisted us to our room with our baggage.
Over the course of our stay, we experienced many small things that added up to a real sense of Southern hospitality. Our housekeeper, Damita, left us an extremely nice note letting us know we'd be having another lady working with us for the remainder of our stay and wishing us a great end to our vacation. Every concierge we encountered (Andrew, Sandy, etc) went above & beyond to make sure our needs were met. We received plenty of suggestions of what to do & where to eat (even having reservations booked for us!).
As our car was being loaded, one of our bags slipped from the cart & a bottle of our wine broke. The young man assisting us was so apologetic and sincere and even offered a replacement bottle of champagne to us.
I only wish we could give this hotel higher reviews, it truly made our trip AMAZING and we can't wait to return.

My daughter & I came to Charleston to tour the college. I chose the Andrew Pinckney Inn from Trip Advisor reviews & photos. It was perfect- right from the start! The staff is hospitable, efficient and bend-over-backward helpful. Our room was gorgeous! We loved everything about it. From the time we stepped in we felt like we were staying in luxury resort bungalow. The bed was wonderful (in fact, we almost missed the tour b/c we slept so soundly) and we loved the balcony terrace! It was perfect. The included terrace breakfast across the way was special too. As fun as the visit was with my daughter, I hope to get back with my husband.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 2nd level tucked right in the middle. We, honestly, never heard a peep.
