“Fantastic Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

We found the Inn with no problem. It boasts an amazing location.......it is close to everything.....within easy walking distance to the market, most restaurants, King Street, College of Charleston, carraige tour embarkation, Rainbow Row and many more historical sites. We checked in mid-afternoon and our room was ready. We enjoyed a suite with amazing french doors looking out onto the street below and straight down Church Street and the market....it's the room just under the "Andrew Pinckney Inn" sign. The room was clean and the bed large and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The front-desk staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed complimentary breakfast on the rooftop terrace.......fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, etc.........just enough of a selection to start your day with a nice view to boot! The only thing we found issue with......and this is such a minor issue......is that the parking lot is on the small side and difficult to maneuver with an SUV and when we left there was a large amount of bird droppings on the car.....nothing a quick car wash can't fix. I would recommend this Inn to anyone going to Charleston.......great location, great staff, great price! Can't be beat!

The Andrew Pinckney Inn is located in downtown Charleston, SC, within walking distance to the Fort Sumter boat embarkation, outdoor market, the Battery and a ton of restaurants.
The hotel staff was efficient, friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean and well designed, the daily rooftop breakfast was delicious (and quite unexpected) and the general ambiance was the perfect counterpoint to our first trip to this city.
If we ever return, we'll stay nowhere else. The Pinckney was just outstanding!

My wife and I have been going to Chaleston every year for the last 10 years and have stayed different places everytime but from now on we will always stay at the Andrew Pinckney. The staff was EXCELLENT. They were very helpful and super friendly. The inn was very beautiful. It was very well maintained, up to date and clean. Parking was just a few steps down the street and the inn is right in the middle of everything....market, dining, waterfront, shopping. Breakfast was AWESOME and they have a really neat balcony where you can eat and look out over the city. I have nothing negative I could say regarding our stay. Again, by far the best staff of any place we have stayed. See ya next year :)

Great find in downtown Chas both in terms or quality of property and value. Beautiful rooms, attentive & friendly staff, tasteful architectural renovations and great breakfast on roof terrace. Add it to your list to visit.

Stayed here a few weeks ago and booked with Priceline.com. We were able to get a great deal for a 4 day, 3 night trip when we booked with a flight. The hotel was great! Looks of character and very close to everything, no car needed. The service was amazing and the continetal breakfast was unlike anything we have ever had in a hotel. The food is homemade and and was different everyday. We actually requested a few of the recipies and made Sandy's Cheesy Scrambled Eggs for breakfast after we got back home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Charleston.

My first impression of my room at the Andrew Pinckney Inn was that of quiet, comfortable elegance from the fantastic, soothing soaking tub with bath salts provided, to warm robes to cuddle into afterwards, and an excellent, care-free wi-fi system. Their appliances were state of the art, and the furnishings comfortable yet elegant. So satisfying was the bed, I barely remember lying down in it in that I fell asleep almost immediately. There were no noise issues either, even though my room faced the street and is located in the middle of historical downtown Charlestoon.

Satisfactory impressions continued throughout the next day. The staff was well informed and very polite and friendly so that I really didn't want to leave truth be told!

After a dreamless sleep, I refreshed myself with a wonderful variety of choices of hot and cold breakfast foods which I could take to my room!

Staying at Andrew Pinckney Inn was almost within itself a mini-vacation. I highly recommend anyone's stay as a guaranteed, hassle free, but more importantly "feeling of home" visit.

This hotel was perfect!! The location was really easy to find, and there was a parking garage very close. We didn't know that the hotel would provide parking until we checked in, and our car was already parked. The price for parking turned out to be the same so it wasn't a problem. The Concierge at the front desk, Kristen, was super-helpful. She booked reservations for us, marked on a map to show us all the places we were planning to visit. She even scored us a discount on one of the tours she booked for us. Breakfast on the terrace the next morning was great! All the other guests that were out there with us were friendly, and the Lady who was serving was great. We all carried on as if we knew each other! Exactly what you'd expect in the South!! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
