This is a great hotel with a very friendly staff. The valet parking seemed a little crazy when I first heard about it but I'm glad now glad that we had it. The price seems kind of steep but if you use the parking garage it ends up being about the same. We didn't have to move our truck until we were leaving on Sunday! My only complaints would be not having a hot tub and pool, having to purchase breakfast instead of it being included in the hotel price. That seemed very expensive being 10.00 for continental and 15.00 for a small buffet. Other than that the fact that it is right in the heart of the Historical District with a lot of the sights and shopping and restaurants being right there was amazing. Oh, and lets not forget the warm chocolate chip cookie you're greeted with! It was wonderful!

We booked two suites for 6 people for a "girls trip." We were so pleased with how comfortable the suites were. The location of the hotel is perfect for anything you want to do in "downtown Charleston." The hotel was very helpful in getting us a car to take us to the plantations for a tour, and also to go to the airport. Would definitely stay there again!

We had a marvelous stay in this superb accommodation at a great price, if compared to nearby hotels!
The staff welcomed us with a warm delicious chocolate chip organic cookie, they offered a complimentary internet connection and asked if we needed any suggestion to visit Charleston.
The standard room we have booked on Expedia was huge, with 2 main room, equipped with everything you need, as well it was full of bathrobe. (truly appreciated)
The bedroom with two extra cozy queen beds was little but well decorated.
We enjoyed so much our stay in Charleston!

My husband and I stayed at this location for just one night (unfortunately) at the end of our trip. The location is SUPER for visiting Charleston....right across the street from the market and by many great restaraunts. I was amazed at some of the complaints I read and was a little nervous but we found this to be one of the most pleasant stays. I cannot say enough about the staff and how friendly they were. As for some of the complaints......the hotel lets you know right up front that you have to pay to park. Parking is 22 per day.....we paid 10 for a lot near there for just a few hours the day before. It is a city and it is customary to pay for parking. Tipping is customary when visiting a hotel or restaurant so expect great service and tip accordingly. No one is demanding a tip. My best advise for this hotel.....be nice to everyone and they will treat you like royalty! Thank you Double Tree management and staff!
