“Great place to stay for Marine graduation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2008

Our son was graduating from Parris Island and I looked on line for several hours trying to find an affordable place to stay that didn't have lots of negative reviews. Due to the number of graduations each week, some of the places looked very used. The Holiday Inn was affordable for our family of 5 (2 comfortable queen beds and a sleeper sofa) and very clean. They have updated with fresh paint and nice decorations. John, the front desk agent, was extremely helpful and friendly. While one elevator was not working, everything else was top notch. We enjoyed both nights in our non-smoking room. We would absolutely recommend this hotel for families coming to Parris Island.

I am a priority club member and booked reservation at priorityclub.com

We visited area for a wedding and chose this hotel compared to the recommended ones for a group rate because of the reviews and pictures/info online.

The hotel was nice, very accomodating. The area reminded me of just a sleepy town and as a stop in between major cities.

It was a nice stay. I probably wont return to the area for a while, but if I do, I will stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at this hotel for my son's Marine Corps graduation at the end of August. This hotel is wonderful! The staff are extremely courteous and friendly. They are also very knowledgeable about the area and professional. I was asked throughout my stay if everything was alright. The room was gorgeous. The food at the in-hotel restaurant, Albergotti's, was well-presented and delicious. It's very rare to have the quality of a product or service exceed the price, but Holiday Inn Beaufort has done just that. I would definitely stay again, and recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in the area.

  • Liked — The people were amazing...friendly and helpful, and the room was gorgeous.
  • Disliked — Nothing....all was great.

For being a brand new property, this place is horrible! Employees are very unprofessional, I tried to speak to the GM about a problem and to me it seemed like I was more of a inconvience than anything. I had a horrible experience and I suggest nobody stay here. Rooms are overpriced, no ammenaties, overpriced food , rude servers, should I keep going?

If you are looking for a Beaufort "low country" experience, do not reserve a room at this property. It is located close to the historic village to be sure, but on a highway tucked in the back of a large parking lot with an econolodge in front of it, but that is about it. Our room had a large bath/jacuzzi in the bedroom portion which looked awkward. It was if the owners didn't know what else to do with it. The weird hangers fall off the closet rails, and you'll find some of your clothes on the floor in the morning. The hotel is only 3 months old so maybe they have to get the "kinks" out but mostly you feel that someone was just not watching the store when the place was built. It's cold, open, orange and boring. The staff in the restaurant are wonderful as well as the front desk; Hillary and George were very welcoming! There's a nice ground level terrace outside where you can look over the beautiful marsh views. If you must stay here, ask for a marsh view room and be prepared for a cavernous accommodation with no low country charm, but great comfortable bedding and otherwise clean room. Kudos to housekeeping, reception, and breakfast which you will pay for. This might be a good hangout for a group of golfers who do not care about where they stay and can share a huge room.
