This was the 1st time I've been to the new location in Beaufort and I wasn't disappointed. I arrived a half hour before they opened at 4:30 and waited outside. I was seated immediately at opening and waited a bit for service, which is only one of two complaints. The other is that it was very cold inside and after having waited outside it took a while to get used to the chilly room.
However, the service was excellent once the server got to me and his recommendation on the Fried Green Tomatoes was right on. I like mine simple and unadulterated, but he said to try them so I did and I was delighted! The serving size for the appetizer was huge and it would have been a meal for me had I known ahead of ordering my entree. I had the seafood pasta and it was good. Nothing to write home about, but filling and a good value. The scallops were cooked perfectly, not overcooked. Both breads that were served were very good also. I would eat there again, but for the distance, I will probably go to the original location instead because it just seems more authentic and less commercial. Kudos to opening the 2nd location though, now open one in Asheville!
