We took a day trip from Mt Pleasant to Beauford SC and decided to try the Lowcountry Produce Café. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent! I had the Oooey Gooey
Grilled pimento cheese, bacon and LCP garlic pepper jelly on wheat with a side of Tomato Pie. Amy had the Frank’s Furter Grilled all-beef hot dog on a toasted bun with grilled onions, LCP artichoke relish and strawberry pepper preserves - sounds strange, but don’t knock it till you try it. The food as great the only change I would do is request the Tomato Pie be heated vice cold. They also served home made chips which were crispy and not greasy. My only complaint on the chips was about half of them were a bit dark for my taste, but I do not like any hint of burned, just a taste thing to me.
