This intimate restaurant tucked inside a bed and breakfast serves innovative southern style dishes with grace and efficiency. While the number of dishes is small there is something to interest all tastes. The wedge salad was unlike any I have had before with balsamic vinegar added to the typical ingredients. The flounder was marvelous; unlike any preparation I have sampled. Foodies who prefer fillet should stay away however. The shrimp over sweet potato and grits was to a northerners liking. Deserts were tempting and the strawberry celebration cake a delight.
Portions are generous but not overly so. A starter of fresh baked popover with strawberry butter was mouthwatering. Having made popovers myself, these were freshly baked. The prices were just a bit above the chain family restaurants.
