“Lovin' the kazoo all over again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

While staying at Hilton Head Island, my wife and I saw a trip to Beaufort, SC and specifically Kazoobie Kazoos and the Kazoo Museum as a great activity to do with our 11 year-old grandson. And it did not disappoint ... the tour begins with a brief walk-thru of the Kazoo Museum (how the kazoo initially was invented, how it has evolved through the years, and who some of the artists thru the years who have used kazoos ... you will be surprised at some of the names!). Then there was a short film followed by a demo by Melody (a great tour guide) of some of the variations of the kazoo, how they are used, and how the tones emitted from a kazoo vary based on the material of construction - great job Melody! Then we walked thru a personal tour of the factory - seeing the process from end to end of how the parts are stored, how the body, resonator and cap fit together ... also saw how the imprint process works and the resonators are made, packaging, etc. Then at the end of the tour we each got to put together our own personal kazoo. Great experience and we look forward to returning in the spring with our granddaughters!

“Loved It!”

Attended the kazoo Factory with my pre-k students... the experience was wonderful! Melody was a wonderful tour guide and was very good with the youth and adults. One of the best field trips!

“70th Birthday Surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

although this was a surprise for my mother's 70th Birthday, my entire family enjoyed visiting the Kazoo Factory. Fun for all ages. Young nieces, nephews and my son had a blast.

Thanks Melody for a fun afternoon!

“If you build it, they will hum.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

We love factories so this was a fun little stop. Melody (perfect name!) was a great guide, and our educational experience included several demonstrations of different types of kazoos, a short but adorable movie about the history of kazoos (pay attention...there's a quiz afterward and I know you don't want to be the class slacker), and a tour of the factory (I appreciate kazoos so much more now that I see the hard work that goes into making each one by hand). The tour ends with the opportunity to make your own kazoo. For $4, this is a great deal! And, when you leave Kazoobie Kazoos, the fun is only beginning. We have already had talented renditions of classical, pop, and even college fight songs, and the night is still young. I would recommend this tour to people of all ages.
