A large group of us senior motorcyclists rode over to Magnolia one beautiful South Carolina morning (which are exceptionally common around here, thank Goodness) on one of our usual breakfast runs. We got a couple of big tables to accommodate us all, the wait staff did all they could do to treat us well, we got served promptly and accurately... and then we all rode home or off somewhere else. The food was good, particularly (as you might expect), the bakery products. (I even took a nice slice of lemon blueberry cake home for the family - excellent!) But perhaps it's breakfast, since most of what our folks got was just about the same as anywhere else. I mean, how many ways can you cook an over-medium egg? At some places we visit, as diverse as IHOP and Stooges down in Bluffton, at least there's some interesting selections (some perhaps not so good for you), but here everything was pretty good... and pretty much average (except, for example, the great roll that my ham, cheese and scrambled egg sandwich was on). No Wonder Bread out of the bag here. So given the nice location, the good people and the good but not off the chart food, I'd rate Magnolia as a 3.8 and I'd go back in a moment.
