“Beautiful Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

We were welcomed to the Inn with a courteous check-in even though we were a bit early. Our room was well appointed, very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were meeting up with old friends and didn't really sightsee too much, but we did enjoy walking along the waterfront and enjoyed a cup of coffee in one of the swings there. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning -- omelets and Bananas Foster waffles -- excellent! Our stay was short but very enjoyable and we would definitely go back again.

We just spent a nice weekend away at the Beaufort Inn and enjoyed our stay so much. It is a pet friendly place so we were able to take our dog and enjoy the surrounding area with her. The room that we were given was placed in the back where it was quite and easy for our dog. The location is perfect. We parked our car and walked everywhere we went. It was lovely not to drive anyway......just park and relax. The breakfast was a very pleasant experience and the Inn itself is full of beautiful artwork for visual interest. The staff were friendly and very helpful with suggestions and information. We will be back again and hopefully for a longer stay. You will love it.

This was our second trip to Beaufort, SC and our first to The Beaufort Inn. This was a real "no hassle" reservation and stay. We could also bring our Jack Russell Terrier with us - not a lot of places in Beaufort would do that for us.
The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. No street noise, yet close to the street so we could walk our dog and easily pack/unpack.
The breakfast is fabulous. Eggs cooked to order, home-made French Toast (different filling each day) and fresh fruit and coffee. What else could you want?
This is the ideal place to stay if you are planning a trip to Beaufort. We parked the car in their parking lot and never moved it until we got ready to leave. The Inn is right downtown within easy waling distance of stores, carriage rides and the water.
We highly recommend the Inn and we look forward to a return trip.

Room Tip: Ask about the cottages, they are roomy, quiet and private.

My husband & I stayed at Beaufort Inn for a one night valentine's getaway, & it was perfect!
The location was wonderful- we took a long walk all around town, & on the waterfront before having a wonderful dinner a few blocks away @ Wren! Our room @ the inn was quiet, & very comfortable, We even had a balcony off of the room- SWEET! Breakfast the next morning was delicious as well! We highly recommend it.

My wife and I had a fantastic visit at the Beaufort Inn. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and a nice box of chocolate. Accommodations were spacious and location was only a block away from the water, shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend the Beaufort Inn to anyone wanting a quiet romantic getaway.

This inn is an interesting mix of old and new. The building is new looking but the rooms are old time beautiful and furnished with many antiques. The wall papering alone is something to see. It's a great place to stay. But unlike many old inns and B & B's where the owner is on site, we found the Beaufort Inn a little cool, lacking in the kind of personal hospitality that we've seen elsewhere. The service was good and professional, but clearly provided by folks who worked at the inn and not those who owned it and lived there. The grounds are nice, and perfect for weddings or other formal events. Parking is convenient, either in the back or across the street at a public, but free, lot. Other location facilities are limited, no pool or billiard table, for example, and no drinks. At both the inn and the restaurant, it's BYOB. The hot semi-buffet style breakfast was fine, but not exceptional given our expectations. On the plus side, the inn of course is only a couple of blocks from Beaufort's Bay Street and then a short walk to the waterfront on the Beaufort River. Good restaurants abound right nearby.

Room Tip: A room with a porch is the best bet in nice weather.
