We were staying here for a nearby wedding. It was cheap, and we figured it couldn't be that bad. It was.
Upon arriving, the room stank like someone had doused the place with those aerosol spray cans meant to cover up the smell of smoke. Something tells me the No Smoking sign on the door had been ignored many times. The toilet ran slow... but that doesn't seem to be a big deal, right?
Then I pulled back the covers, and found a bright red blood stain, about 4x4 inches, just about where your hips would be if you lay down on the bed. It was on the top and bottom sheets. We went to the front desk, and were given an option - new sheets or a new room. We went for the new sheets, since it was late and we didn't want to repack.
Then the toilet flooded. At that point, we got a new room. We showed the owner (who came with the new key quickly, it should be said) the sheets, and his only reply was "Oh, I guess the maid didn't change the sheets."
The new room's tv didn't turn on, the light over the mirror worked 50% of the time, and the shower didn't drain. But there were no visible bodily fluids in the bed and the water stayed contained within the tub and toilet, so we considered that an upgrade.
If you have any other options for where to stay, take them.
