My partner and I stayed at the Nylo over Labor Day weekend and our expectations were more than met. From the moment we walked into the lobby and greeted by the courteous waitstaff, to the moment we checked out, our 3 night stay was wonderful.
The feather beds were so comfortable, food impeccable, and even though the menu not a large variety, it was actually more appealing this way, and there was something on the menu to meet any taste. Did I mention the exceptional martini's?
We are frequent business travelers, and even though we stayed for pleasure this time, I would definitely recommend this hotel for the traveling professional. State of the art televisions, top notch cardio equipment and fitness center with saunas, Wi Fi accessibility from your room, etc.
Something worth mentioning regarding great service..
I happened to be on the treadmill one morning and jumped off briefly to stretch and when I got back on, my towel was replaced with a fresh one and the waitstaff was no where to be found. In this day and age, when good service is hard to find, this small gesture stood out the most. Now THAT is service. We felt as though the staff was truly concerned to meet our needs in every way.
Keep up the great work, Nylo! You will certainly be at the top of our list when we return to the Warwick area. Looking forward to our next stay!

The new NYLO hotel in Warwick was built one street over from my house in the historic Pontiac Mills. We received a free night and 60% off our dinner for being a close neighbor. We had an interesting experience for our free night!

If you're looking for a unique hotel experience, this is definitely the hotel for you. The decor is unlike any hotel I've ever seen. The drink menu at The Loft is wonderful and the bartenders were wonderful. The waitstaff is another story. Clearly they're all brand new and have never waited a table in their life. Because I can relate to being a new waitress, I was completely understanding, but they definitely need additional training on the menu, interacting, timing, etc. The food is good, but some of the items need work (ie. the steak sandwich was way too tough, need a better, more tender cut of steak for a sandwich). But overall the food was good and the drinks were wonderful.

The room was really nice, great flat screen TV on a full motion wall mount. There is no tub, but I didn't think that was too important. They have a great shower head. The bed was great, not hard like typical hotel beds. Unfortunately, the toilet was broken in our room and we never got to sleep in the bed...That's another story. So our toilet was not flushing, it will just fill up with water. After three phone calls and over an hour wait, we left a note explaining what was wrong and went to the local bar across the street. Approximately two hours later, we came back and the toilet was not fixed. We asked for a new room and they gave us a room with two twin beds. We asked for a room with a king and when they put us in another room, the key didn't work. So my husband was fed up and said "thanks, but we're just going to head home." At 2:00am we walked up the street to our house and slept in our own bed.

There are absolutely no harsh feelings towards the NYLO. I know we were their "test clients" and the staff was super friendly and you could tell most of them were trying really hard. I think they need to work out the kinks before they open in three days! Most people will expect more when they are paying for a hotel room.

Right now, I wouldn't recommend staying here. I say give them six months and then try it. It is definitely a cool hotel.

Management response from NYLO_Warwick_Mgmt, Manager
(Management representative)
Sep 7, 2008
Thank you for your feedback. As one of our first guests for our pre-opening we appreciate all of your comments and concerns. The pre-opening trial took place for the exact reason of determining areas to improve upon prior to opening. We have addressed each challenge you have mentioned and NYLO is proud to officially be open in Warwick. We hope that you will return in the future. Thank you.

NYLO is a completely new and unique hotel. The decor was beautiful and i couldn't decide which photograph i liked the best. The beds were incredibly comfortable and everything was clean and streamlined. It is worth visiting NYLO for the showers themselves. It is the perfect hotel for business travelers- close to the airport, with coffee/water, free WiFi and a business center included. I plan to stay here whenever i have business in the providence area. I don't think anywhere else is comprable for the price.

Myself and 5 girlfiends stayed at the NYLO this week and were all quite impressed on so many levels. The staff was so friendly and accomodating, they couldn't do enough for us.
My favorite thing was "The Loft", the hotel restaurant and lounge. The decor was just gorgeous and every one of us had a great meal. There is also a huge deck overlooking the river and waterfall. The new furniture for the deck was not in place yet but the manager told us it was on its way. We will definately be enjoying cocktails and some Rhode Island sunshine on our next visit there!!!
The rooms were very cool , with high ceilings, huge windows, ultra modern furniture, and a bed that none of us wanted to get out of in the morning!!!! It was so comfortable, I want to order one for my house.
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for out of state travellers, for the convenience of being close to the airport, major highways, shopping and other local pubs and restaurants!!

  • Liked — The bed!!!
  • Disliked — Being a brand new hotel, the contractors were still trying to finish projects too early in the am

This is a very unique hotel created from an old mill. The first thing you see, after the reservation desk, is a library with two swinging lucite bubble chairs. The diningroom decor of seashells, coral and fish scales is very well done. The food and drink were great as was the service. I loved the luxurious king size feather bed in my room with bunches of pillows. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.
