“Great atmosphere and delicious food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Wharf Tavern has it all...varied menu, food cooked perfectly, great service and fabulous scenery! We just celebrated our anniversary, with dinner at a window table on the "porch"; and were treated to a long succession of boats floating by. They have a Sunday brunch we will be looking into on our next visit.

“Very pleased”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Friends of ours invited us to dinner at the Wharf. My last experience there many years ago was not good and I never went back again, until today. Our waitress, Doreen, was exceptional. Very professional and just pleasant to talk to and we were a challenge. Baked stuffed shrimp.to die for s allops, soup and then Doreen sold us on tiramisu, carrot cake and marscapone fruit cake. Everything was perfect. We are surely returning to the Wharf Tavern.

“Coming back strong!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

We first dined at the Wharf Tavern starting in 2007. At the time it was a popular local spot with very good, reasonably priced food, a lively bar, and a band for dancing several nights a week. Then in 2008, the Wharf went downhill - fast! The food declined, was not served hot, and the wait staff became disinterested and even rude. After one especially bad meal, I walked out - and said to the owner, "Never again". Financial difficulty, several changes of ownership, and then complete closure seemed to seal the Wharf's fate.

Last year new owners bought the place, and did a top to bottom renovation. We decided to try the Wharf for dinner last week, and were very pleased to find this restaurant is coming back strong. I had the special baby back ribs, which fell off the bone - delicious. We also tried the seafood pasta with clams, shrimp, scallops, and mussels - also delicious.

Our server - Doreen - was very attentive and helpful. Drink order came quickly, as did the bread and then the entree's - hot!. We enjoyed dinner enough to come back a few days later for lunch, which was also very good. It was warm enough to sit outside overlooking the Warren River, and the burger, sweet potato fries, and crab cakes were good, although the regular fries were undercooked and flabby. Overall, very good, and a HUGE improvement over the old Wharf of 2010 and earlier.

The Wharf is now back on our list of good places to eat (there are lots in Warren) and we look forward to continued improvements as the new management and staff gain traction. You won't be disappointed.

“Walked Out!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

Can't stand being ignored at a restaurant. Sat there for 10 minutes and no service. After looking around and seeing customers looking puzzled, saw many tables with no food we decided to walk out.
