“Our most memorable B&B stay yet.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2009

The house was charming and the rooms comfortably and beautifully appointed. The suite was spacious and yet cozy. We loved the paintings of Mary Beth and Chris's children in the living room, and the grounds were lovely. The other reviews do not exaggerate about the quality of the breakfasts. We so enjoyed our hosts' wonderful skills in the kitchen. Most important for us, though, was the fondness we felt for Mary Beth during our stay and in our memories of our visit. Her warmth and kindness were generous and genuine. We had a lovely day with our family on Thanksgiving day, but we were still happy to return to the B&B to enjoy its ambiance at about 6 pm. By 9 pm we were surprised to find that we were hungry, so we tiptoed downstairs to see if there were any crackers to be found. Mary Beth heard that we were hungry and brought out some of her family's fabulous turkey, mashed potatoes, and sweet potato pie. (Chris had barbecued a a luscious bird.) We' will certainly plan to return to visit our new friends in Narragansett as soon as we can.

Tower House B and B is a must stay. For those of you who believe a B and B might be invasive to your privacy and enjoyment of same . . . . read on. Tower House staff is extremely accommodating yet unobtrusive. There when you want them, and not when you don't. Truly friendly people. The staff is just wonderful. Rooms are lovely, well furnished, extremely clean and quite comfortable. The B and B is located in an quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Gardens are large enough that you can be alone and enjoy the quiet, even with other guests about. Wonderful breakfasts (with top notch coffee)! Knowledgeable hosts. Approximately 1 mile from the Narragansett public beach and a short drive to many other attractions. Not one negative about this place. Can't recommend it enough! Do yourself a favor, get off this website, call Tower House and book your stay. Now!

My wife and I, and our three children (15, 12 and 10) stayed for 6 nights at the Tower House B&B and we had a wonderful time. Our host was very nice and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Her breakfasts are excellent and that's what we probably will miss the most. We normally stay in hotels when we travel, but this old house proved to be much more fun and more comfortable than a hotel room, despite the absence of air conditioning (which is sufficiently compensated by fans - it was quite hot during the week we were there). It is too far to walk to the local beaches, but our hosts could drive us and drop us at the beach (and pick us up) everyday, at our convenience, which was great. My 12 year-old son said that this was his best vacation ever (even better than Disney World). We all had a great time and enjoyed our stay at the Tower House a lot.

Normally I prefer a small hotel over a B&B because I like a certain amount of privacy and anonymity but my friend found these accommodations and I decided to go with the flow. From my first contact with Mary Beth on the phone, I was impressed by her relaxed and friendly manner. During our three-night visit, she couldn't have been more hospitable. She offered in advance to add a second bed to our room and even with the additional bed, Caldwell was very spacious. The bathroom, with double sinks, was also large. Coffee and newspaper outside our door was our favorite luxury. Breakfasts were huge and delicious. We were happy to be just a few minutes from the beach and appreciated that beach chairs and towels were provided. We had our afternoon drinks in garden. In the evening, Mary Beth and her family gave us directions to various restaurants. Everywhere we went the seafood was so fresh and the atmosphere friendly and casual. There were always chocolates on our pillows and bottled water and snacks replenished in our room. For a summer weekend getaway close to home, I don't think we could have done any better! P.S.- We happened to notice some jewelry in an antique case. It turns out that aside from being a gifted host, Mary Beth is also a talented jeweler. She is far too modest to mention this or try and sell you anything but my friend asked if she could purchase a necklace and of course Mary Beth kindly agreed.

My mom and I stayed at the Tower House for four nights in July. It was our first time staying at a B&B and we absolutely loved it! The house is huge, old and beautiful. The grounds have tons of flowers and lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the weather. On the first floor of the house, there's a cute dining room that set with the best breakfast from 8-10am. Mary Beth makes a wonderful breakfast with bacon or sasuage, quiche, baked french toast (my favorite!), eggs, cereal, toast, bagels, OJ, coffee, etc... It is so good! Also, she sets up coffee outside your door at 7am- it was so great to wake up, grab coffee, and jump back in bed for awhile. There's also a computer with internet and a printer set up on the first floor. My mom and I stayed in the Earles suite which had two seperate bedrooms connected by a door. It was perfect for us. Both of the rooms had comfortable beds and great decorations. Great bathroom, too. Happy hour is 5-6 which beer and wine and little snacks...so fun to get to know that other guests :)

Mary Beth is a wonderful host. She is so sweet and interesting to talk to. She can drop you off at the beaches around town and help when your lost with directions (we know from experience!) She's the best. :)

We can't wait to go back!!

It was my husband & my 1st time at a B&B. Arrived on a holiday weekend(Memorial Day) on Friday and checked out Monday. The Tower House B&B was beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside. The grounds are immaculate & well landscaped. Plenty of lawn chairs and tables to sit outside or on the patio/deck. Parking was available in the long driveway. The house inside was big & had lots of lounge areas to relax and chill out. The room we stayed in was the master suite w/a private bath. The room was exceptional. It was clean & huge. The bedroom was secluded & seperate from the huge bathroom. There was also a sitting area w/a table w/goodies that the innkeepers left for us(bottled water, glasses,candy,chocolate,etc.). The bed was comfy with clean linens, flat screen tv, bathrobe, alarm clock,& all the home amenities. Breakfast was amazing & everyday there was something different (ex: eggs, quiche, pancakes, waffles, doughnuts, bagels, fresh fruit,oj,coffee, tea, hash browns,bacon,sausage,etc.). Also, in the morning outside your room you could find the newspaper of your choice and coffee or tea. What was great about breakfast was it was served btwn 8-10am. Then, there was a happy hour from 5-6pm & there was always wine, beer, and appetizers(cheese, crackers, veggies w/dip,etc.). The best part of this beautiful secluded B&B were the innkeepers, Marybeth and Chris. They made our stay excellent!! They were attentive and always informative about any info we needed on Rhode Island. They also offer a shuttle service to local attractions. They took us to the Point Judith ferry so we can catch a ferry to Block Island and also picked us up. If we needed beach chairs & towels for the beach they were also available to us. The B&B is located in the historic pier section of Narragansett. It was close to the beach, restaurants, & small outdoor mall. On the property there was a dog that was one of the most loveable, friendly, & well behaved dogs we have ever seen. Had a great and relaxing time at this beautiful B&B & we will definitely be back!!!!
