“Breakfast extraordinaire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

I had excellent stay at the 1900 House. The hosts are very friendly and the rooms were neat and tidy. On top of this the other guests were great and the breakfast conversations a delight.
I hope I can return one day.

In July we had another great stay at the 1900 House. This stay was our twelth year of staying with Sandy and Bill. As usual the accomodations were excellent. The breakfasts are unique and delicous and you won't go away hungry. The home is imaculate and shows the care Sandy and Bill put into their role as innkeepers.

Room Tip: All three quest rooms are excellent. You won't go wrong with any of them.

What a fantastic surprise the 1900 house turned out to be! It was such an affordable rate for August that we thought it would be just an OK stay.... Wrong! It was one of the best weekends ever! Bill and Sandy know their stuff. They were there when you wanted them for an interesting chat and quietly slipped away at just the right times (She even washed and folded our towels from home!) It was the most amazing breakfast! We didn't eat lunch each day because the 3 course meal was so huge & delicious... Sandy even gave us some muffins to take to the beach! Our room, The Tara Suite was perfect. It's 2 rooms were comfortable, clean and cozy. But my absolute favorite thing was the outdoor shower! I didn't take a shower in the room once! If you're an outdoor shower fan - this one is a big winner! Thanks so much to Bill and Sandy for making our anniversary exactly what we wanted! We will be back next year for sure!

Room Tip: I got a look at all the rooms. Each is unique but all are beautiful. The Tara suite worked perfectly...

The proprietors Sandy and Bill are great, very hospitable, open-hearted folks. They made me and my family feel right at home. The accommodations were comfy and restful. Their yard and gardens are beautiful. They've got a great collection of interesting antique objects (lustreware, unique china sets, stereoscope postcards, etc) to indulge your senses. Each breakfast is a special event, with a decadently set table (with each day Sandy showcases a different set of china. Nice!). The blueberry muffins Sandy made are still haunting my mind, they may be the most delicious I've ever had. Also her quiche, made with Bill's garden tomatoes, was delish. It's all this attention to detail as well as Bill and Sandy's sweet demeanors that made this a wonderful house to stay in. Thanks!

The 1900 House is a beautiful, quaint Bed and Breakfast with the most hospitable hosts (Sandy and Bill). The breakfast every morning is unbelievable, elaborate and delicious. Their cozy B&B is just minutes away - walking distance - from the beach, shops, restaurants, and more! The rooms are kept very clean and are well-equipped with cable TV and wireless internet. Ample parking. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this to anyone visiting the area or surrounding locations. Close drive to Newport, local and major universities, etc. A perfect location and stay.

Room Tip: Rooms vary, all to your personal liking and what is available at the time of booking. Each room has...

This was our first stay at the 1900 House and it was a wonderful stay. I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay near the water, At a low rate including breakfast and beach passes, I was a little nervous at what we would find, Our room was beautiful and comfy, breakfast was delicious and Sandy and Bill were great. A pleasant surprise is what we found and we hope to find it again next summer. Kathleen T.

We had a Labor Day Weekend wedding in Narragansett, R.I. We live 30 minutes away, but decided to make it a staycation. 1900 House met all our needs, clean rooms, out of this world breakfast and fabulous owners.
You can walk to just about anything and if you need to travel by car, it would only be minutes away.
1900 House will be our choice again for another wedding weekend!

Room Tip: Only three rooms which makes any room a good choice.
