I am a repeat guest of the Newport Inn and Spa; I have tried other area hotels and they are not as relaxing and quiet as the Newport Inn and Spa - The pool area is well kept and usually not very crowded, the continental breakfast is more than the average muffins, stale bagels etc...this time we were upgraded to a whirpool room which was the best whirpool/jetted tub I've experienced at any establishment - so much so, that My Husband and I are going to have the exact style installed in our home - it was the perfect size and had just the right amounts of jets. The massage chair too was incredible! all of this and the convenience of being so close to the beaches, mansions and all that Newport and Middletown have to offer - you can not beat it !!

We will return again and again ........

im 32 with my wife and kids our stay there was fabulus i recomend this hotel to others, the rooms were clean the beds were temperpedic it was soooooooooooooooo awesome i havnt had a sleep that good in years i have to get one of those. the dinner was very good,there was free high speed. the the waiters?waitress were the best they were reakky nice and they made my dad. my wife and i had the perfect honeymoon. the pool was very fun for the kids. the jacuzzi was fantastic. its so clean there ive never seen a hotel this nice i cant wait to come here again, we are defineally staying here again.

My spouse and I drove down to stay one night (with our dog) at the hotel. I know, we cannot expect a lot from a hotel that accepts animals. So we were tolerant to some extent. We wanted, and were promised, a simple, king size bed, nonsmoking room. We got neither. They promised champagne (part of a cheezy package). Nothing. Further, the whole place was run down. The coup de grace was, upon pulling back the bedspread, finding strands of long human hair on the pillows. We left WITHOUT staying the night. Couldn't do it. To their credit, I believe they refunded the charge (as of today, a day later). Probably the second worst hotel I've (almost) ever stayed in as far as overall conditions were concerned. If you're in college crashing with a buddy, this might work.

First off I want to say that we got the room for one night at 59.00. It was probably worth that.

I read the reviews before we went and decided to give it a shot. I mean, how bad could it be?

As I read over the reviews, I think the newer rooms are probably better. Our room was a smoking room, so I'm sure these are the older ones. The rug was so bad, I couldnt go barefoot. I don't think they were actually dirty but in dire need of replacement. It was resonably clean but very dark and depressing.

The massage chairs were a nice touch.

I made an apt in advance for me and my husband to have 2 1/2 hour massages with Robin. We were there at the time of the apt and waited 15 minutes and she did not show up, so we left. I'm not sure if they are a part of the hotel or not, but I thought that was very rude. Not even a phone call to apoligize. Not acceptable.

If you get this room for under 50 dollars, it is probably worth it, but otherwise I would stay somewhere else.
