“Best Seafood in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

Don't miss this market/restaurant. Casual dining next to their retail store. We ate here 3 times during our stay and each time we had a fantastic meal. Their fried seafood platter was loaded with a huge pile of bay scallops, shrimp, clams, and cod served with slaw and great fries. Fish and chips were crispy and moist. The chowder was the best in town and the fish tacos were absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend that you put Anthony's on your "must go" list.

“Outstanding Seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

We stopped by Anthony's mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Restaurant was slow for Anthony's due to time of day and off season. I ordered the small (6 oz.) whole fried clams. They were outstanding. The dish came with cole slaw and fries. The dish was not greasy and very fresh and tasty. My wife ordered the Fish Tacos. She commented how good they were as you get two tacos with fries and cole slaw. The service was quick and the food was better than most of the places in the high rent district in Newport a couple of miles down the road. I thought the food was much better this time than in the summer when it gets real busy during the tourist season.

“Pretty Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Anthony's Seafood was one of the reasons we went back to Newport for an anniversary visit. Maybe because it's off season, not sure, but it wasn't the same this visit. The crab cakes were very average, and the lobster roll was not that good. The lobster meat was rubbery and tasteless. The cole slaw was good. We had planned to eat here each night, but we didn't go back.

“Quick service, great seafood...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Yes, it is off the beaten path. My husband had a cup of the Portuguese fish soup...yummy. I had a stuffie, also yummy. We shared the fisherman's platter. It was enough food for two. Total around $30, with drinks, not bad. Service was quick and it was not crowded when we arrived around 4pm on a Saturday.

“Off the beaten path”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Lobster roll was very good with nice pieces of lobster meat. The setup is nice whether your going to eat in, takeout, or buying your own seafood to cook at home. As with lobster anywhere it is market price so it did seem a little expensive paying $24 for a lobster sandwich, but it was worth price.
