“NOT SATISFIED WITH EXPERIENCE”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

My wife and I spent one night April 25,2015 at this hotel. The good thing was it was very close to Newport and the downtown area. It is about a 5 minute drive which was great. That is the best I could say. The day we checked in @ approx. 2.45. for our room which my wife had booked on line, went a little slow but ok. When we were given are room keys, we went to our room with our luggage. When we opened the door we were quite surprised to find the room was occupied. We went back to the front desk and the desk person seemed quite surprised the room was occupied. She said she would call them and apologized to them. She never apologized to us. We were given an upgrade to a room with a whirlpool tub. The room was not up to our standards, as the bathroom floor, sink did not appear to be very clean. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were to soft for our liking. We went to breakfast the next morning with the standard fair. at about 7.30. I was told by one of the people handling breakfast the eggs would be out soon. they had hot sausage , and some kind of home fries, but no eggs. I was surprised as breakfast was stated it started at 6AM. The plastic forks , knives and spoons were very cheap and my wife had all she could do to cut her waffle with them. I would suggest an upgrade in plastic ware to be a good investment for this hotel. They also need to be more cautious to rooms being occupied etc. Our overall experience was not very good. Great location is all I can give this place. Good luck.

We just spent the weekend (4/24-4/26) here and were very happy with our choice. We reserved a room with the whirlpool tub and LOVED it!! It was great to unwind in it after a day of touring around Newport.
We really enjoyed the free continental breakfast that was provided. There were lots of choices and everything was kept neat and tidy by two hard working ladies.
Check in and check out were quick and efficient.
Room was clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and we both got a good nights sleep.
It was just a short drive into Newport, which was great since we were there to sightsee around Newport.
We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

ill start off with the positive, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and large, i have a king bed at home and i felt this was bigger than mine somehow. everything in the hotel was clean, but since its a little outdated it sort of makes everything look dirty, an update to this property is needed and i think would do wonders for them. the person who said its a maze to the room was not kidding, the doors were very narrow and kinda creeped me out a little lol the room was spacious but the bathroom was oddly small. i felt like my knees could hit the door sitting on the toilet, also the shower looked yucky, we were only there from about 11:30 pm until about 10am when we moved down the road to the Hampton inn and chose to shower there instead. the breakfast was decent. I'm not gonna be picky here, for 55 bucks to lay my head somewhere since we got in so late, it was great, but if i was spending more than a few hours there i would have been upset, knowing i was just there to sleep and moving down to the Hampton inn made it not so bad, but if i had to stay there for my entire stay i would have been upset, but what can you expect at 55 bucks a night. so i will say for the money- its pretty good.

I had a remodeled room with a jacuzzi and it was very clean. Bed was very comfy and unlike another reviewer who couldn't get hot water in their tub, I had the opposite problem- my water came out super hot and took a bit to calibrate, but it was nice to use after walking in heels all day.

The continental breakfast had many options- waffles, eggs, sausages, yogurts, cereals, danishes, bagels, etc, and was available until 10am. The 24 hour coffee machine near the lobby was a nice perk and the staff was very friendly.

This hotel is only a short drive to the Navy base and is right next to the movie theatre. Good value and my room wasn't facing a busy road, so it was quiet at night.

happened to be a spur of a moment stay. Kim, was very accomodating, and helpful in pulling off a spontaneous surprise. With all the snow we had been getting, I wanted to find something that had a hot tub and a pool so that we may feel a little bit tropical so to speak. I decided to try a room with a whirlpool instead that alone was one of the best decisions I could have made. For it was so much more comfortable being private and just the two of us. it was a great process of going in the whirlpool making it as hot as we wanted it felt like a whole body was being massaged then we went into the heated pool...then back into the whirlpool it was so relaxing.the hot breakfast was wonderful and the people were so helpful and happy to help us with all of our needs.I will definitely be going back.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2014

Spent the night here in early November. Large, open lobby with the exercise room on the second floor overlooking the front desk and a huge area to eat the complimentary breakfast. Getting to the room was like walking down an organizational chart but clear signage helped. All was clean looking a smelled fresh. The room set-up was a little different. There was a separate area between the bed and the windows holding a hanging rod for clothes, a chair, the fridge, and the HVAC unit. It looked like a wall-to-wall closet with the doors removed. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was clean and a good size for swimming laps. Breakfast was the standard Comfort food and the staff was friendly and helpful. The price was about half what we paid the next night for a Comfort Suites in the Hudson valley.

Would defiantly not recommend this hotel..rooms way too small for the price and this one not owned by this famous hotel chain, rather, family owned by the Patel's.!!!!
Prefer to stay at a place owned by Americans.
Need to be a contortionist to squeeze into the bathroom and fit on the "throne" ..and breakfast no real great bargain...the only best part is the swimming pool, water was decently warm.
