“A Gem on the Farm Coast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

We had a romantic getaway weekend this fall and had a terrific experience at the Edith Pearl. Deborah, the innkeeper, is a wonderful host, always accommodating and an awesome chef! Her breakfast definitely made it into my top 10 best breakfast meals of all time. The inn was homey and comfortable, the Pirate Girl King’s Suite was spectacular. The bucolic surroundings of a working farm surrounding the inn added to the experience.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Edith Pearl immensely. We had the King & Queen suite with what had to me one of the largest, most comfortable bed either of us had ever slept in. Deborah was attentive and welcoming with champagne and chocoloate. Her little extra touches throughout our staye were lovely. Highly recommend!

My partner and I really enjoyed our weekend at the Edith Pearl. The house was tastefully appointed, the rooms were clean and spacious, the four poster bed was both beautiful and comfortable. Deb, the innkeeper, could not be more friendly and helpful, offering advice on where to go for dinner, to the beach, and to kayak. Breakfast was just great. She makes fabulous Belgian waffles. Ask Deb to show you how her dog Hawkeye can run and jump though an agility course she set up in the backyard. Great fun. Finally, Little Compton is a beautiful and peaceful oasis, a special place to escape. All in all, a great weekend. Thanks Deb!

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable B & B. Our hostess was eager to please and appropriately attentive. The surrounding property and farm land is breath taking. I would recommend The Edith Pearl to couples and dog lovers.

Room Tip: Room away from street quieter.

This was our second visit to this very special B & B on Little Compton, Rhode Island. The B & B has just a few rooms for rent. We saw two rooms, both of which is pleasantly decorated and spacious. (Ask about the special "royal room"-- it's my term but definitely fit for a king or queen).
Breakfasts were ample, delicious, well prepared and served. Deborah is a very pleasant and helpful innkeeper. And her wonderful dogs were an amusing addition to our stay. There was an outside porch and lovely grounds for just quiet sitting.

If you are looking for a clean bed and breakfast this is not the place. The house is filled with clutter and junk in every corner. While the owner is dog friendly she is a little overwhelming and invasive with her guests. It was difficult to relax and enjoy our short vacation with the host present at every moment and around every corner. Would not recommend, especially without a dog.

We recently stayed at The Edith Pearl and were really looking forward to our weekend away. Though the bedroom, bathroom and common spaces were very clean and well appointed, the kitchen was disappointing. We entered the kitchen to refill our water bottles, we were surprised by the strong smell and numerous fruit flies swarming the sink. If you’re a light sleeper, also be aware of what room you choose as we were facing Maine St and the noise started early in the morning. Edith Pearl is one of few options in the area, and, while better than the Hampton Inn, I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms facing the maine street for a quieter experience as there's no a/c and wind...
