This is difficult to write because while I like The Lodge in general, there are some things I don't like about it. My family (husband, three kids 12, 11 and 9, and I) went there for dinner. It was a Monday night. We were seated in a comfortable booth. The waitress was attentive. The menu has a good selection for sandwiches and dinner entrees. There is a notice on the front of each menu that due to the high price of lettuce, all entrees that include the salad bar are a dollar extra. My son ordered a root beer ($2.75), the others ordered a soda each and my husband gets a beer ($2,50 for the draft - less than a bottle of root beer???) We order our meals...a lobster roll (big chunks of claw meat, was good - $10.99), chicken parm ($15.99 - pricey - includes salad bar), kids menu chicken fingers and fries ($4.99), two burgers with fries($7.99 each). The problem, each of my kids want a salad (they only had one - add $3.99 each) and we've just spent $80, $95 with the tip...The one thing that pushed me over the edge is that two of my kids asked for a side of honey mustard because they like to dip their fries and we were charged extra for that, 2 at $.75 for $1.50...crazy!!! Everybody enjoyed their food (my chicken parm was good but I don't care for their sauce, would recommend something else)...to net it out, I would not bring my kids there again...would go back because I do like the salad bar and the food is good but buyer beware!!!
