“Great atmosphere. Small but charming. Waaaaaaay too expensive!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2012 via mobile

I like the small restaurant vibe la osteria puts out. That is until you get the bill. I think this place is a little pricey for what you get. You'd be better off heading to federal hill for the night. Food was very good. Pasta fagioli was fantastic. Restaurant.com usually has a deal to this place which helps but its still expensive. On weekend s you will be waiting dp make sure you make reservations.

“Hidden gem in Cranston!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2012

This is one of our favorite places. We travel to Italy once or twice a year, and find the choices at L'Osteria to be authentic.
The bruschetta is incredible! A word of caution on the calamari: it's not battered and fried as most New Englanders are accustomed to; it's sauteed. Still good, just different than what you may expect. Any entree we've had has been wonderful.
Parking can sometimes be a problem, especially in the summer, but we've never had to walk more than a block.

A cozy restaurant with great service, food and atmosphere! Whether you choose something from the menu or a dinner special you can't go wrong and the staff can't do enough for you.

“Thank Goodness Great Options across the street!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2011

The owner of this restaurant is a rude jerk with no customer service skills... they ran out of most of the specials and it was only 7:30... ran out of there signature dessert on a Friday night. Had a problem with our bill and the owner wouldn't leave the bar to talk to us. NEVER AGAIN... I'll go across the street to Cafe Itri, the foods better anyway!!
