Our room was a suite. A large living room and a separate bedroom. The hotel rooms were quiet. The food was good. The gym and pool great. If going to Newport this is a great place to stay. The price was reasonable.

I have stayed with this hotel four times now (once under its previous incarnation as a Wyndham). I attend a convention in Providence with friends every February, and we always stay at this location.

Admittedly, we get an excellent rate because we also work in hospitality, but even at full price it would be a great deal. The staff are courteous and attentive, and they have always treated us as well as they'd treat someone paying full price!

Keri (if she is still there) is our favorite GSA. She has always dealt with problem guests (rude parents in the pool with awful children), she kept the breakfast stocked and even open a little bit later for us. All of the staff we've encountered had a great attitude... and the rooms? Spotless. Always. (Where are these cleanliness complaints coming from???)

The breakfast is par for the course with a chain hotel, however I was impressed to find food that even I can eat! (I'm fructose malabsorbant, lactose intolerant... among many other dietary issues.) It was plentiful and -CLEAN-. The only problem is the occasional inconsiderate guest, which you can hardly hold against the staff!

Let me speak to the location: 15 minutes to Providence, and a fraction of the cost for on-site lodgings for our convention. It's got restaurants all around, and we've enjoyed watching the retail area develop a little more every time we go back. You really can't beat it if you're passing through the area with friends or family -- handy to Warwick beaches as well.

I'm betting some of the more negative or neutral reviews come from "high-end" Marriott Rewards guests. Trust me when I say that for the average traveler, this place is just perfect.

We will be back next February, and we are definitely looking forward to it! :)

Clean hotel. Reasonable location to Newport or RI beaches. Still a half hour drive, but a lot less than paying for something down at the shore or in Newport itself. It's right next door to a box store, but you're not paying for ambience. Staff was especially helpful and cheery.

well be careful when u reserve a room they dont no what reserve means might sell it like they did to me,and to top it off u must wait thirty days to get credited on your debit or credit card,BUT DEFINATELY QUICK TO TAKE YOUR MONEY
