A really friendly and characterful place to stay that is situated on an islet into a lovely lake. Our room, the sunrise suite, had the greatest view straight out over the deck over the lake so was a great view at anytime but especially to wake up too as the bed is in front of the low level window.
I have only marked the room down as I feel whilst the room has a lot of character and amenities it doesn't have a wardrobe (only a small hanging rail attached to the wall) which would be very awkward to anyone staying for more than 1 night as we were and that the bath/shower was looking dated. But overall is lovely and rustic/rural and they have a great big adorable labrador retriever called Max who was lovely to have around with his two owners Steve and Carolyn great hosts. Carolyn has to get a special mention as a fantastic cook who laid on an enormous breakfast spread that would have fed 20 people for only 4 guests who in no way were able to do it justice.
We would love to return in the summer to use all the facilities of the kayak's etc on the lake and probably stay in one of their private cottages for a longer period.
Definately highly recommended.
