To be clear: this is Dave's Coffee in the Galapagos Boutique, which is a nice symbiotic relationship. Come for coffee and bakery; rellax a while; shop.
I've been to this place a few times when visiting family in the area. Very good coffee and bakery. In fact, in this area of many places that know how to make a great muffin, this is perhaps the best -- grainy but not heavy, not cupcake-like -- a real muffin. Favorites include corn, sometimes with fruit; various berry-filled muffins. There are scones and other bakery that are good, too. Much here is delicious and health-oriented.
This is a pleasurable place to hang out. The inside is a fun mix of cozy atmosphere, like an old house setting of wood paneling and shelves. There are a few places on the ground with seats and tables where you can enjoy a garden setting. Free wifi. What else do you need?
When you have your strength, explore the Galapagos boutique, which has a number of higher-end fashion labels, shoes, accessories, etc. for men and women. The styling tends to be trendy jeans (e.g. J Brand), and designer labels you know (Alice + Olivia; Trina Turk; Bettye Muller) and some you may not (Closet.) On my last visit, there was a fab array of silk blouses in a range of colors. My sense is that the main target is in the age range of 20-40, but even we older folks find many things to covet. Most of the women's stuff is upstairs, and reminds you of combing through a treasure trove of a closet.
So: this place is always on my go-to list when I am in the area.
