“Fabulous Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We stayed at PPI in July, and it was exceptional -- beyond our expectations. Very beautiful and peaceful property right on Bristol Harbor. We enjoyed the pool (which overlooked the harbor), the wildlife = birds, waterfowl, exquisite breakfasts served by the chef on the patio, and our room was immaculate and comfortable. First class, many amenities. We were originally going to stay in Newport - then decided on this Inn, and we were so glad we made that decision!! We will definitely go back again. Very close to Newport.

We have just spend the W/E at Point Pleasant Inn and it was perfect. The Inn is beatiful but makes you feel at home. The view on the bay and the park are awesome. Chris the manager was the perfect host, doing his best to make sure we relax and enjoy our stay. Bristol is a pretty town with great views on the water away from the crowd of Newport. We are definetely planning to go back there as soon as we can.

We stayed at Point Pleasant Inn from 7/8/13 to 7/12/13. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Inn was beautiful yet very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Chef was awesome. Loved the ice cream in the snack closet. Enjoyed watching the sailboats on the bay and deer and turkeys on the front lawn. I can't say enough good things about Point Pleasant Inn. We will definitely go back!

Point Pleasant Inn is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. It was a wonderful experience to stay there. We felt like we were staying in a house and not in a hotel. The attention of everybody was fantastic, and made us feel at home. Relax and nice!!!

We had the opportunity to see deer and turkeys in the garden and have the chance to see the fireworks for July 4, it was a wonderful experience, with all the boats passing by the bay…there wawerere hundreds of boats..amassing...

The property is truly unique.

As a corporate pilot, I travel for a living. When the opportunity came around for a 2 day layover in Rhode Island, I jumped at the chance for a couple of relaxing days off at what has got to be one of the most beautiful settings in New England. From the moment we arrived, my co-pilot and I were treated like family by our most gracious hosts. The home is beautiful. Like stepping through a time warp back into a world before the hectic lifestyles we endure today. You just want to turn off your cellphone, shut down your tablet and pretend your part of the family and try to soak up all of the things to see and do on this beautiful property. As with too many of our travels, not enough time to take it all in, but will check off a few more items on the next visit.

Absolutely wonderful stay on a stunning estate property overlooking the water. My only complaint – we could not stay longer. Point Pleasant Inn & Resort is not so much an Inn as a Bed & Breakfast in a large, but cozy estate home that could have easily been converted to many, many rooms with a full inn staff. But it was not converted to many, many rooms with a full inn staff and we are very happy for it. There are 2 floors, a basement and grounds that guests have access to. All rooms and outside spaces are very clean, well organized, open and well decorated. The grounds are well maintained and very scenic; we very much enjoyed seeing the wild turkeys every day. We stayed in the Bristol Harbor Suite on the 2nd floor all 3 nights – it was very comfortable and had its own outside patio. Ms. Frances’ breakfasts were superb; she was a joy to meet and talk with. The bar is open all day, nibbles are served for cocktails in evening, and you are free to relax or enjoy the activities on the large property at your leisure. If you are looking for a full-service Inn that has a staff on hand all day to assist you, then this is not it. If you are happy to have a very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing visit with pretty much anything you need close at hand, and happy to get it yourself – like it was your own home, then this is the perfect place for you, as it was for us….and will be in the future. Highly recommended for couples of any age; looks like a perfect place for wedding and wedding party. Point Pleasant Inn & Resort can cater an event according to web-site.

Room Tip: We liked the Bristol Harbor Room as it faced the water, was large, and had its own little patio.
