“Cozy, warm, inviting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We just stayed at Bristol House for a wedding. We are not usually "B&B people" but Bristol House exceeded our expectations. Kathleen is warm, friendly, and accommodating without being the least bit intrusive. We truly felt taken care of in the best way. And Kathleen's breakfast is delicious - homemade granola, fresh fruit, made-to-order pancakes and maple-glazed bacon. Yum! The inn's location is just down the street from downtown Bristol, which is charming with many quaint shops and restaurants. We plan to return to Bristol House soon (without the kids)!

Room Tip: We stayed in the downstairs room, which may not be available unless the whole inn is rented (which i...

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay! Your children were SO well-behaved and we absolutely loved that they enjoyed our chocolate chip pancakes! Looking forward to having you back again soon!

From the sumptuous breakfast, to the warmest American welcome, comfy bed, the fluffiest of fluffy towels and the secret treats hidden in bathrobe towels, this is a truly wonderful place to stay. Bravo!!

Quaint and cozy rooms as well as the rest if the house and back yard gardens. Breakfasts were amazing especially the special bacon! Kathleen was super friendly and accommodating. Very quiet surroundings.

My family and I stayed at the Bristol House B&B while in town for a wedding. Kathleen thought of every little detail - she had little stuffed animal surprises on our daughters' beds at night and coloring books and crayons waiting for them at breakfast. She arranged for a babysitter for us and even had "helpers" (9 and 10 year old neighbors) come over during the morning to play with our kids while we got ready for the day. The inn, itself, is comfortable and clean and the breakfast was amazing! Kathleen was so accomodating and friendly. The Bristol House Bed and Breakfast exceeded our expectations!

We were greeted with freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies and it just got better and better. The house and yard are gorgeous and we felt extremely welcome! Breakfast the next morning was some of the best pancakes I've had along with fresh granola, berries and yogurt. Don't miss a chance to stay here!

My fiancée and I recently stayed at Bristol House B&B for 2 nights, and would not hesitate to return or recommend it. In fact we were just discussing returning to the area to check out more potential wedding venues and Bristol House B&B was our first thought for somewhere to stay. Kathleen, the owner, is a wonderfully hospitable host and the perfect antidote to a day of meeting wedding planners at local venues, listening to ever more ways to hemorrhage money on a Rhode Island ceremony.

One of the best parts of BH B&B was the food: we’re both foodies, and the 2 course breakfasts we had on both days were delicious, with generous helpings. I’m salivating thinking about Kathleen’s breakfasts while writing this review.

The property is a couple of miles from the center of Bristol, which may be an issue for some, but walking into town helps burn off some of the calories from breakfast…although walking off all of them may require walking the 15 miles to Newport! We enjoyed the proximity to Colt State Park and the foot / bike trail by the water, which was perfect for a morning run.

The room we stayed in, “The Independence Room", was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition, with a very comfortable bed. The views from the room were of the well maintained back yard, which is the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine on a nice day.

We look forward to returning again in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay, and will definitely be back again soon (and we'll stay longer). Innkeeper Kathleen is a wonderful hostess; she's warm and friendly, while respectful of our privacy. The rooms are spacious and perfectly appointed with linens that you'll sink right into!(how does she get the towels so white and fluffy) The guest basket with local items is so welcoming, we felt like honored guests. Kathleen asked us what we liked to do and made some great recommendations of things to do and places to go, and her breakfasts are"over the top" delicious! (When can I move in?) This B&B is the best one that we've stayed at - it's a great find.

Room Tip: They're all great - a real can't miss
