We had tapas on the lawn around sunset. The food was just OK (and very pricey), the service was very odd (more about that below), but the sunset was the most amazing I've ever seen in my life!! (And I live on the California coast and have visited Hawaii a number of times, so I've seen a lot of sunsets over water.) You get a 360 degree view of the sunset, and the one we saw was absolutely magnificent, with amazing cloud formations and colors. (My overall rating is based solely on that experience -- otherwise it would be much lower. My current profile pic is a snap of just a small segment of the sky that evening.)
About the service -- our wait staff had trouble communicating in English and didn't seem well-trained or confident. One of them said they were part of an Eastern European work program, which is admirable but management isn't training them adequately. And we were there in August, so they should have had a few months of work practice in by then. Questions we asked about food were answered with great difficulty. And the capper was being told that they did not serve melted butter with lobster when we asked for some with our cold seafood platter. Hunh??
And when we tried to use the "10% off tapas" coupon that's featured on the local tourist map, we were told that it only applied to one item. Yes, it does say "restrictions apply" but that's a pretty tight little restriction that should be spelled out. They could just as easily print "10% off one tapas item" in less space. But that wouldn't attract as many customers, would it?
