The scene mentioned in a previous review, of the hostess "ruining" your experience, was a scene that I and my dad had seen that day. It was unfortunate, since the hostess had only been following instructions from her supervisors. She ended up crying because the father of this family of six was yelling at her, although she had only been following her reservation book. We felt terrible for her, although it is understood that you were hungry and tired after riding your bikes around all day. She was only trying to explain what had happened with her reservation book but the older gentleman would not let her speak.
The table of the two ladies had been booked in person by a friend of theirs, one friend of four that was to join them in a few minutes. These ladies had been coming to the beachead to celebrate a very special birthday. The total of this table was for six people. Not just the two, as you had so readily assumed.
It's unfortunate that people experience these things, not as "rules" to the situation, but as "exceptions to the rules" or exceptions to the typical situation and let these things color the opinions of others. My family has been going to this restaurant for YEARS, and we have never had a single "incident".
