Laid back, casual vibe and very sweet young owners. Helpful with anything you need. Delicious homemade breakfast with herbs from the garden. Our room had a charming design esthetic of mismatched patterns and colorful prints. You get the idea.

Picnic tables in the yard, a few BBQ grills (the stand up type you find in campgrounds) and a 2nd story porch to enjoy happy hour cocktails on. Not all rooms have AC, about half have porches.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back if you are a light sleeper who hits the hay early. Teenagers walk by on t...

3 college friends and I had 2 nights at the Darius mid-week. It was a last minute decision to take this trip and we were so lucky to get the room(s) -- we stayed in a two room suite, with a porch on the main street. The Inn isn't fancy, but it is beautifully thought out and has a quirky homemade style that is utterly comfortable and esthetically appealing. Also, and importantly, it was also perfectly clean, our mattress was good, and the sheets were nice. The breakfasts were lovely and the sangria in the late afternoon was lovely.

The Inn is across the street from the beach -- you can't see it (at least from our room) but you just need to walk across the street and down a little access path and there you are. You could hear some street noises but at least during mid-week they weren't disturbing -- and we had a very light sleeper in our group.

We loved it and would definitely return.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Darius Inn. Christy and Becca are truly interested in making your stay on the island a positive and easy one. Room 26 was a charm....comfortable king size bed with terrific pillows, great bathroom, a/c, beautiful lace curtains, 6 windows, and a funky dresser! Clean and comfortable.

The breakfasts were delicious. My husband, a vegetarian, was well fed with no complaints at all. They were aware that I was a vegan and there were plenty of options for me that were wonderful. And coffee and tea is available all day long. They also steered us to great restaurants on the island as well.

One day our son, daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters (under the age of 5) came for the day and Christy and Becca were generous in allowing them to use our room to change their clothes for the beach and to shower there afterwards. We were grateful that they extended this courtesy to them as well.

We spent many hours sitting on the upstairs porch where there was a wonderful breeze and where we could read, relax, and watch "tourists" go into town and then walk out of town. It was delightful to people watch from the second floor.

We would definitely stay here again...we have recommended it to many of our friends already.

Room Tip: Our room was in the back so we didn't hear the street traffic (cars and people) there. That was...

What a fantastic bed and breakfast on Block Island with a great location close to everything. Great breakfast, nice little rooms and the upstairs balcony was a great place to chill. The only problem is we could only stay 2 nights. Next time we will stay longer!!!

We spent 4 days at the Darius. We loved it!! Christy and BEcca welcome you as if you are old friends. The rooms are shabby chic and very comfortble. Christy makes the most amazing breakfasts, including a different frittata every day. Becca makes yummy dips and cocktails in the afternoon. The yard is comforftable, as is the upstairs porch. beach towels and chairs are available. We were with another couple and we all had a fabulous time. The sisters are so knowledgable about everything on the island and truly made it a wonderful stay. I will definitely be going back!

This was our second stay at the Darius since Becca and Christy bought the Inn. We were there for the July 4th week as well and it was perfect. The rooms have had a much needed freshening up and were very clean and comfortable. The girls made sure we had everything we needed, from a spaghetti pot to a coffee maker! We had friends stop over for a cookout in the backyard (charcoal grill on premises) and also to seek shelter from a storm, and they were made to feel just as welcome as well. The central location makes this the perfect place to stay, younger kids can just walk across to the beach or to get an ice cream, and you know they are not too far out of reach. We also have already booked for next year, this place is a gem!

We did a quick, two-night getaway to Block Island and stayed at the Darius. We loved it! We booked a first floor suite which was perfect (!!) for our needs. The suite had a separate sitting room/kitchen that was ideal for our son's pack 'n play, and the kitchen w/ fridge was a huge help. The room had two porches which made for a nice area on which to sit and have some wine while the baby slept. We really enjoyed the yummy homemade breakfasts and happy hours, and Becca and Christy could not have been nicer, more accommodating or more helpful. And the in-town location (but tucked around the corner from the busy main street) is ideal for a stroller and walking to all, including Crescent Beach. We will be back!
