“Something for Everyone”

Last summer my office had its corporate outing at Ballard’s. This year I have been asked to coordinate the outing for 2010. I polled my coworkers and everyone said they wanted to go back to Ballard’s, because it was just that perfect. I don’t think we’ve ever had a better time at a work function. The gorgeous weather, the food, the service and the beachside location added up to a really memorable time.

The restaurant is so spacious that they were able to accommodate our large party of about 75 people, with plenty of room to spare for the restaurant’s regular lunch crowd. The seafood buffet set up for our party was so fresh and delicious—just what you’d expect to find by the ocean in New England. It sure was funny to see my boss in a lobster bib!

I hope the management of Ballard’s reads this review and realizes how happy we were last year, because this summer we’re coming back for more!

“Love This Place”

My in laws fist took me to Ballards in 1995. And ever since I have been not been able to get enough. I usually go to Ballards six times a year and stay in the rooms with the balconies. You get to overlook the entire island - its my wife's favorite view in the country!! The rooms are very clean and well managed.

The restaurant downstairs is the best. There is live music every day overlooking the beach. Ballards is also a place to see famous people from NY and famous athletes. Its the hottest spot on Block Island,by far. And has the best food!

“Its really true!!”

My friends and I think Ballards is teh best spot on Block Island. The rooms are really the best on Block island too. They are very clean, spacious, they have air conditioners (no other place does) and the staff is very cordial. Also its the onlt spot on Block island where the rooms are directly on their private beach.

Also, the food is excellent. Like the other reviews said, the lobster rolls are so good. Ballards has their own lobster traps and they catch all the lobsters fresh every day. Imagine that!

I do not see how anyone can say anything bad about Ballards ever. C U there!!

“Iconic”

My two freinds and I will never forget our time at Ballards. We go there every year, but this time we were sitting at the bar and next was BILL Belicheck - THE HEAD COACH OF THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS!! We had a beer together. I guess he goes to Ballards all the time and also saw Randy Moss there too!

Ballards is the hottest spot on Block Island! It has a family fun atmospere and the food is excellent! We have stayed in the rooms many time - they are clean and comfortable.

Ballards is truly iconic and I cannot recommend it enough!!

“Ballards Every Year”

Every Year my family and I go to Ballards. And every time we are very pleased with our experience. We usually stay for 2-3 nights and bring our children.

Our favorite part about Ballards is that it is right on the beach, the rooms are always clean and the food is excellent. Our least favorite part is that we can only stay 2 nights.

Going to Block Island is such an escape that I recommend it to anyone who lives in New England. There are other hotels on Block island, but I think Ballards is the only hotel that has A/C.

We recommend Ballards because of the location, bars/restaurant and the A/C. Also, kids are welcomes there with a kids menu and kids toys.
