We went to Joy Thai for my birthday meal. I had had Thai food before but don't quite remember it like this and it was a VERY pleasant experience! The storefront is not soo attractive and it was a little dark inside but the service was fantastic as was the food. The restaurant wasn't very crowded when we were in also, we were one of 2 tables, but it was filling up quite quickly by the time we left. Everything was so colorful and fresh! That was the biggest plus for me...wasn't mushy and frozen looking. The spice charts were right on! We loved all of the dishes we ordered...crab cake, green papaya salad and calamari as appetizers...YUM! For my main entree I had "The Lover" which was shrimp and Tilapia with mangos, scallions and apples....and our kids loved the Pad Thai. I also had the vegetarian coconut soup...exquisite...kids loved it too. For dessert you must try the coconut flan...it was served hot and the presentation was neat. It was a bit pricey although we did go "all out" and the portions were pretty hefty,,Thank you for the wonderful birthday meal and we will definitely be back!
