This is the second time we have stayed at this Hampton while visiting Lycoming College. Location is just a few blocks from downtown Williamsport (with several restaurants, an interesting bookstore, etc), but is outside of easy walking distance to Lycoming College or what we were told is the "Gold Strip" of stores and restaurants.
The hotel is very clean, and the staff is nice. An extra plus - I requested an extra blanket and flat sheets online for the bed so we could each have our own blanket. Many hotels seem totally confused by this request and either ignore it or say it can't be done, but we were told at checkin that the blanket was already in the room - and it was!
The room and bathroom were clean, and the king size bed room has a nice little couch. The desk was set up nicely, and the wireless internet worked well. Bedding was good quality. Shower worked fine.
Room negatives - the room alarm clock was set an hour off (not updated for daylight savings a couple of weeks before), and the alarm function itself was broken. The sink was extremely low, which is bad if you have back problems. And there seemed to be a whole convention of hotel workers outside our room having loud conversations before 8:00 a.m., so I missed my chance to sleep a bit late.
Breakfast was fine and typically Hampton but well maintained. The fruit pieces (citrus, pineapple, etc.) was very good and kept adequately full until the end. I'm not a fan of the french toast sticks, but that depends on what day you get there in the Hampton rotation, I guess. Their Robust coffee was a pleasant change from the slightly flavored water some places are providing lately.
The hotel has a nice looking pool and hot tub which we did not get to use, and a small business equipment area in the lobby.
