great location, staff very friendly and helpful. standard room with king bed was a little too soft woke up with back ache. located in the middle of all the restaurants and shopping. gambling and horse racing about a mile away. good pick for weekend stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites on August 31st. We were guests at a nearby wedding. The staff were all very welcoming, informative, and helpful. The room was basic, but clean. Our room looked out onto the parking lot so we kept the shades drawn but it looked like rooms on the other side of the hotel would have had lovely mountain views. The only negatives were there were little fruit flies in our bathroom - had we been staying longer than one night I may have mentioned this to the cleaning staff, but since we were only there for a short time it wasn't a huge deal. Also, the continental breakfast ends super early - 9:30am! When we went to get breakfast around 10, it was all gone. Obviously this was our error for not knowing what time the breakfast concluded but that seems really early - most hotels I've stayed in offer breakfast until checkout at 11am. Luckily, there was a Denny's down the road that we were able to stop at before heading home. Also, the 10% discount offered at the TGI Friday's next door is a nice offer.

I'v stayed here quite a bit. It's not exactly up to the Marriott standards one would normally expect, however this brand is't a top level brand either.

The hotel could stand a little more attention to detail when it comes to routine preventative maintenance. There are some minor problems but certainly nothing to stop you from staying here.

The hotel is in a weird location, if you are using GPS, go behind the Friday's to find the hotel. One of the nice things is that this is located next to a mall, lots of food places and other shops.

Sometimes there was quite a bit of outside noise due to the other hotel here, but in general it is a nice quiet location.

If you are staying in the area and need a decent hotel to stay at, this is a good bet. The people are nice and for short stays this is a decent place.

Room Tip: If you are Marriott elite, make sure to ask for an upgrade...they are not automatic. Most of the roo...

Stayed 5/24/2013 - one overnight. It's not readily visible from the road - tucked behind a major chain restaurant up on a hill. You need to drive though the restaurant parking lot to get to it. A tough find especially at night even with a GPS. However, once there, we found the hotel to be great in some key areas - very clean room, spacious too - very comfortable bed - attentive friendly staff - and very quiet even though the hotel was obviously booked. Free Breakfast was well attended and for good reason - plenty of fresh fruits, baked goods, juices and coffee. And the attendants kept up with the crowd, replenishing each station promptly. Great price online. We will stay there again for sure despite the treasure hunt location.

Room Tip: Try getting a room facing away from the street - much quieter.

We stayed here on a trip up to Maine. Conveniently located along I-81. Very friendly staff and were upgraded as we needed a refrigerator. Free breakfast. Will stay here again when traveling that route.

Stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed with cleanliness. Carpets in room were only vacuumed in the walking paths as there was finger nails, small bits of trash and food along the wall baseboards. The black desk chair in the room had whitish blob Ike stains on the seat (didn't want to know what that was). The sofa/love seat looked as though someone had puked on one side of the cushions, had to flip them over to even sit on. Bathroom shower curtain had mildew growing on it, in very obvious places. Hard to believe they could miss that in cleaning. Bathroom faucet looked as though it hasn't been cleaned in a while. All in all, not a very clean place.

I stayed here for two nights on a work trip. The room was clean, but there wasn't an attention to detail. I did notice some hair on the wall in the bathroom and the shower curtain had a good amount of mold growing on it.

The bed was extremely comfortable. Slept like a rock.

The breakfast was nice, the desk staff was nice and the little selection of convenience store-type items for sale turned out to be very convenient. Everything was modern and well appointed. I'd stay again on a work trip, but probably wouldn't visit the area for any other reason.
