“Half way home!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

Great place , the room was very nice and clean. The hibatch I grill in house was nice! The shuttle was a bust cause they also use it as an airport shuttle:( free breakfast was nice the view from the room ( presidential suite was okay you could see the highway:( the giant Hot tub is awesome! The sky bar is nice but not big enought the owners seem to encourage locals to come in so there is a lot of men there and no room for the guest :( but the property is very nice and the inside is fresh and nicely appointed , the staff was very nice!! Overall a nice stay!!

Room Tip: Stream side or facing the pool!

Dear JF:

Thank you for sharing your experience. We apologize the shuttle service was interrupted by an airport pickup and our outdoor deck bar seemed to be to crowded. We do encourage the locals to frequent our establishment whenever possible. We hope this doesn't deter you from visiting with us again.

Thank you,
Ross Kornfeld

I stayed for 4 nights while attending a business convention being held at the Hotel. From start to finish, a wonderful stay. Flight delays caused me to arrive at midnight but the shuttle was there to pick me up and check-in was pleasant and quick. The gentleman at the desk even recommended food delivery since it was after serving times. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and roomy. Bed was comfortable and had a pillow for every situation. It seemed much larger even then room I has last year. Breakfast was great. Good food, pleasant staff and clean comfortable areas to sit and eat. I loved staying there! I really hated to leave. I will be back!

Fake waterfalls, 1970s decor, and a menu that uses the term "Oriental" salad is what will welcome you. The female bartenders are apparently required to wear high heels despite how hard that is. What century are the owners in?? I reserved what was called a quiet room but if you reserve a room in the tower, it will face the highway and is NOISY for pity's sakes. They boast of free breakfast - but not on weekends. And aside from a desk chair, there is no chair in the room so you wind up on the bed a lot.

Room Tip: Do not reserve the tower rooms. Better and less expensive nearby is a Holiday Inn Express.

We are at The Woodlands for a business meeting, been here before. The hotel is clean, the rooms are decent, and there are good facilities (Restautants, pool, bar, outdoor deck). My complaint with this facility is that the rooms are small, the bathrooms are very tight, and not designed efficiently. The "closet" is a small hole in the wall, maybe 12" wide, with a cutrain over it, barely enought to put clothes in, let along any sort of bags. The bathroom is tight, the towel holders are 2 hooks over the toilet, no towel bars. Be careful when you wash your face in the sink, you might hit your head on the shelf over the sink.

The food areas are good, breakfast is very good, the staff is very good, as well as the location, parking and ammenities.

So, if you're looking for a decent clean room to stay in, The Woodlands is good. If you're expecting more of a modern, up to date facility, you might be disappointed.

We will probably be here again for business, so we will stay here again. However, if we were coming up for pleasure, we would move to a place like the Courtyard by the Mall..

BTW, this is close to Scranton Airport, there is a shuttle, so that is all convenient.

One other comment, there always seems to be an odd odor in the hotel. Not sure what it is from, it is not offensive, and will not stop us from staying again. It just does not have the scent of a nice fresh smell.

If you're here on business, the business rooms are nice. There's a beautiful deck and bar, overlooking a nice creek with running water.

We had a great overnight stay in a suite. We Ordered room service and the food was great. I would recommend this place for a nice getaway. Pricey but clean! We didn't do the nightlife thing but I've been here before and it's fun! They also host great wedding so if you get invited to one... Go ! Food is great!

Dear Bob-N-Wend:

Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope you took advantage of all our amenities. From our indoor pool to our 17,000 gallon indoor Jacuzzi, maybe a few spa treatments from Alexander's in the woods. We also have two restaurants and several nightlife spots for entertaining. If you didn't have time to visit all the venues there's always next time.
