I reviewed this hotel once before on how excellently staff and management there took care of my husband while he was living there while away at work for an extended period of time, how kind they were to me in helping me get care packages to him, and then listening to my Husband's glowing remarks about all the people he met in the Radisson Family staff. My review didn't do them justice.
I was able to visit my Husband, who is again (fortunately) stationed w/ his crew there in Hermitage Pa. I got to meet staff face to face, see the rooms, etc. WOW:-) :-) :-) !!! I got there before my Husband, & was checked in by Mr. TJ Walk, the Assistant Front Office Manager. Competant, courteous, dedicated- very much a team leader & an asset to the hotel for the business side. But- he is SO friendly, warm, funny, talkative & GENUINE - not like some hotels where the "check in's "smile & look like they are so TIRED of smiling- he is so exuberant & makes you feel like they were REALLY waiting just for you!! The hotel is lucky to have him as a leader & I can understand WHY his staff does the excellent jobs they do.
My Husband, David & his workmate 's room was a nice single room w/ 2 beds. Considering these men are truck drivers & there are a whole crew of them out there the staff is doing an AMAZING job keeping them supplied with clean towels, linens, coffee, etc. The niceties of home that are needed when possible. Their rooms were nice. The upkeep was EXCELLENT.
OUR room? I stayed one nite to visit & OH WOW!!! The room was awesome!! Clean, with a king sized bed, a jacuzzi, a 'fridge, a microwave & even a cute lil' Radisson banner across the foot of our bed ( which I was SOOO tempted to sneak out as a souveneir!! LOL!! :-) :-) :-) ) The pillows- ALWAYS a pet peeve for me, hotels seem to have them made from concrete pancakes- WERE FLUFFY :-) !!! And there were TWO for each of us. The bed was comfy, the shower was clean, the supplies (shampoo, etc), were high quality. The room was LOVELY!!! Thank you!!!
Please tho, this review has to state, the owner's can BUY all the best "stuff" in the world for customer's use which is GOOD... But without well trained, happy, self satisfied staff - we the customers would never get any of it. The experience would be gray and lacking. Any and all of the workers I saw or met there were gracious & had a smile for me. Those I DIDN'T see? They must be happy at their jobs as well as their competancy at the way the rooms - worker OR jacuzzi- was well evident.
If you are planning a trip or happen to be passing thru, stay a nite or 2- you really ARE missing out if you don't!!!
