“Best Wings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Wing night is great--go early so you get a good seat. Sit down and enjoy a beer and wings or anything else on their menu as it is a fun place to be

“Bottlenecks - Hazleton, PA”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

What happened to this place?? Used to be great from start to finish. From a food standpoint, the wings have consistently been very good. Very crispy. They serve the sauce on the side (.59 if you want your wings tossed in the sauce). And that remains true, even through the last 3 visits when everything else has taken a really bad turn.

For starters, the restaurant has no parking. Take your chances in either the bank parking lot across the street (have yet to be towed) or on the street in the surrounding "interesting" neigborhood. Not a place for kids (it's a bar with a few tables and no kids menu). The service is really bad. Our waitresses have been outright rude the last 2 times we were there. My wife ordered a quesadilla and it came on a plate by itself. When we asked if it was supposed to be served with salsa or sour cream we received the following reply "well it would be if you had asked for it". How sweet. The menu stated salsa. Oh, and about the menu, don't bother trying to get a feel for the place on-line as the menu they have posted on their website is not the same one they have in the restaurant "you must have been looking at another places website", when I showed her the website on my phone she said "do you want to order or what?". I'm really not tough to please (see my other reviews), but this place has gone to the dogs.

How about an order of wings to go??

“slow service, cold terrible food, billed for things that weren't ordered, count your change.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

the service was slow, a group of 7 waited over half an hour for our meals and when they finally arrived they were cold and awful. one of us ordered a pepsi that came flat and after it was taken back it still showed up on the bill, plus another drink that we hadn't ordered. crab cakes were just mush and the cole slaw that came with wasn't edible. the side of fries was the best thing they had going. the bocce court is warped and slanted, and the tv's in the restaurant area were set to soccer reruns and womens college basketball - 7pm on a monday.

“Diamond hidden in the rough!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2012 via mobile

Traveling back from the holidays we always try to stop to eat at a restaurant with good reviews. This one already had six.

It was not easily visible for us but when we called they were very nice and re routed us until we found it.

It is a bar indeed with a sitting dining area nearby. We were the only diners there. The bar was busy but not the restaurant section.

The food service was slow. It was new years day and the bartender was our waitress as well.

I must say that the wait was very well worth it! The best chicken crispy wings I've ever had in my life. They were plump, fresh, crispy, and juicy. Huge also!
The chicken tenders were also cooked perfectly. Again, very fresh and moist. We appreciated the tender, light crispy batter. Most of the time chicken tenders are orange brown in color and dry at many places but not here.
Crab cakes tasted delicious as well.

I loved the fresh vegetables that clearly were NOT frozen.

Desert was a chocolate covered ice cream ball and it was also first class quality!

I was going to rate this place 4 out of 5 stars due to the slow service but the food was so delicious and the waitress was so friendly and warm that I still had to rate it 5 stars.

As it turns out, the owners of the place were cooking by themselves since they gave their staff the day off because it was new years day. We were appreciative of this fine meal and were completely stuffed!

Very delicious and surprising for bar like setting. Wonderful!

“Great pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2011

Service was friendly and attentive. Great mix of people. Wings were excellent-- crispy, large and yummy hot sauce on side. Great beer selection. Don't let the outside appearance scare you away--- worth a visit if you're passing through or staying down the road at Eagle Rock -- where the restaurant is rather blah. We will go back when we return to the area.
