“Perfect in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2009

There was not one thing I would change about my stay at the 100 West B&B. From the wonderful innkeepers, the immaculate room, comfortable bed, fresh blueberry pancakes with homemade syrup (yum!) and wonderful conversation on the front porch (surrounded with beautiful flowers and a surprise visit from a doe and her twin babies), everything was absolutely perfect. If you are planning a drive along scenic Rt 6, plan a stop over in Wellsboro and stay at 100 West B&B - it will be one of the highlights of your trip!

Extremely comfortable stay; the owners were very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed our 3 nights at 100 West. The room "Niles" was very comfortable and other visitors friendly. A great location. We thoroughly enjoyed this short respite from the daily grind of DC. Thank you.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2008

In staying in Wellsboro on Sept. 7, my husband and I wanted a quiet room with premium bedding (we're at an age where our backs talk back to us) and a nourishing breakfast. The 100 West B&B exceeded our expectations with innkeepers who catered to our personal preferences and an immaculate, comfortable room with its own private entrance facing a lovely wooded knoll.
Before we went, there wasn't a review of 100 West B&B on Trip Advisor so I compared reviews of other B&Bs here and elsewhere with the 100 West website. I noted on the Tioga County visitors site that 100 West was one of only three B&Bs in the area that was fully booked on Friday and Saturday preceding our Sunday night visit which indicated to me that it was popular and highly recommended by word of mouth.
When I called for information, I was impressed that the innkeeper, Brenda, inquired about our special interests and subsequently reviewed with us the bedding that would be best for our backs. She noted our preference as early risers wanting to geocache and look for wildlife and when we arrived she had placed books about birding and local hiking in our room. While our research showed that Brenda has received raves for her full breakfasts, we preferred a light meal at a very early hour. Her husband John prepared freshly made coffee for us at 5 a.m. (yes 5 a.m.!) with cereal, juice and blueberry muffins. It was perfect for us.
We loved our room. It was on the first floor with its own private exterior entrance that faces a small wooded hill. There were two chairs outside the window and a private parking space to the side of the door. At night we stepped right outside and could see the Milky Way which we hadn't seen in years. The room had a queen size pillow top mattress that was exceedingly comfortable. The small private bathroom with shower was immaculate and had a hair dyer, shampoo and conditioner. Other guest rooms on the second floor have larger bathrooms but we prized having the first floor private entrance and the bathroom was more than adequate for our needs.
The inside door in our room opened into the dining room. We could lock the connecting door for our privacy. At breakfast, John told us that our room had been newly constructed three years ago and is one of five rooms for guests in the home. All the rooms are air conditioned but we didn't need air conditioning on this September day.
The common area/living room had a television and we understand the home has wireless internet which we didn't use.
100 West is, not surprisingly, located on the west side of Wellsboro. It is a five minute drive through the historic Victorian home section into downtown Wellsboro which had fine dining options. From 100 West, it took us less than 30 minutes to drive west to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania via scenic country roads.
If you're in Wellsboro, be sure to stop by the Wynken, Blynken and Nod fountain in the central park. While geocaching there, we met a family who had just taken the nearby Tioga Central Railroad excursion with their kids and said it was great.
We were only able to stay one night but are so pleased that we spent it at 100 West B&B.
