“Great atmosphere, not so great food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

Had drinks and ate dinner in the bar area with 4 friends on a Friday night. Bar area/atmosphere was very upscale, but was disappointed with the food. Two of us ordered the short ribs, which were very dry. Chopped salad was ok, but nothing special, and the fourth person ordered a burger which was also just ok. Wouldn't go back for the food, but would go for drinks just because of the atmosphere.

“Poor meal, Poor Service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014

I do not like to bang on a resturant as I know it's a tough business BUT ...

Was out with friends for the first time . The menu looked and sounded interesting but the service was done with a poor attitude, was done incorrectly (reaching across the entire table to serve and clear). 2 dishes had to be sent back due to poor preperation.

Dessert of a trio of creme brulee was lousy. No brulee top , tasted like a yogurt dessert.

“Bar scene”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

Had a wonderful dinner with 3 girlfriends at Peppercorn. The bar is lovely and warm.
Noise level not too bad. Food was great and creative. Drinks during happy hour are half price if you do not request a brand. Good parking is a plus.

“A bit of a disappointment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

We loved Georges and expected a similar experience. Peppercorn did not deliver. The food was good but not great. The dinning room was cold, we had to order hot drinks to keep warm. I had the Wild Striped Bass which was enjoyable and different. The service was attentive as another reviewer mentioned, overly so. It was a bit uncomfortable while trying to have a romantic dinner. Overall we left missing Georges.

“Adding them to our regular rotation again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

The atmosphere in the bar area is just right for us. Upscale, but warm and not over-the-top or pretentious. A great place for a casual meal when you really don't feel the cooking. We used to come here when it was Georges' (in Georges' better days), but stopped when Georges' went into decline. We now back and like the menu choices and ambiance of the place.
